Seventeen “Hit the Road” Docuseries Prologue~Episode 6 Reaction!

Fun trivia for our ARMYCARAT familias (in case you don't know yet): Aside from being SEVENTEEN’s resident main producer, Bumzu is actually good friends with Jin. He co-produced Jin’s song “Abyss” and the famous "Super Tuna” which, fun fact, was born out of a fishing trip they took together where they were literally fishing for tuna 😁🐟🎣

qotd : I discovered Seventeen during their “Don't Wanna Cry” or “Clap” era (i forget which), and i also found out when they were making their comeback, so i watched their mv just out of curiosity. But one day, while i was doing my homework, i was playing a k-pop playlist on Spotify and the song “Rock with You” came on. After that, i started looking up who the singer was, and that's when i became a CARAT, during the Attacca era in late 2021 (rwy gurllll😭)🩷🩵 There are a few members who have similar personalities to mine, but i also have a lot in common with seungkwan, but an introverted version of him😭😭 Mingyu really does have a positive mindset, Mingyu was born for Seventeen. Do you remember when we were at a chattering with Nah, and Hoshi got drunk and told Mingyu that he was the pillar of Seventeen? And it's true, Mingyu is the unifying figure of Seventeen when it came to the contract renewal period🥹🥹🥹

It’s been a while since I watched this series, so thank you for giving me the chance to see it through new eyes. I think personally, I resonate a lot with scoups. Out of my siblings, I’ve always felt the most responsibility and it’s a big burden to carry. It’s really hard to put on a front that you’re always okay and I respect him for admitting he struggled, and taking the time to get his mind right so he could be better for those around him. For inspiration, I look a lot to mingyu because he’s the opposite to me. I wish I was as positive and motivated as him. Nothing seems to shake him and he turns negatives into positives. That takes a really strong mind.

Yes guys please

It's funny that I saw Bumzu perform before I ever even knew that much about SVT. I remember the online talk about him at the first HYBE NYE's Live concert (w the newly debuted ENHYPEN + TXT, NU'EST, Lee Hyun, GFRIEND & BTS ¬ idk why SVT weren't there) like he was a big deal. He's a great vocalist! (https://youtu.be/9E-IrOw2oOU?si=G7BaCU9G_8Y_tEY6 - if you're interested in watching on your own time) There were even mixed stages between different group members he was a part of that I enjoyed... You might have forgotten, but he's Jin's fishing partner, who he wrote and produced Supertuna with on a whim Lol! - And he produced Abyss with him before that.

this is my 4th time watching this series and am still crying seeing how coups was during this time☹️ when mingyu turned around ans asked, coups literally said “I feel like am gonna die”💔 Seventeen is going on a tour again starting from this 13th familia..! Hoshi and woozi won’t be performing as they are enlisting.. can’t imagine svt’s concerts without Hoshi’s “horanghae” intro🥺 Mingyu’s optimistic mindset is so damn interesting to me like as someone who gets into negetive thoughts so easily, he is such an inspiration to me!! qotd: I knew seventeen since 2017 when they came out with “don’t wanna cry” like at that point of kpop they were literally a gp favourite!! was a causal listener, then became a cubic and finally a carat since 2022🥹

I’ve known SEVENTEEN since Adore U, but only as a casual listener. In 2022, after seeing the legendary “Shadow” stage with Cheol, Dino, and Mingyu, I began watching more of their videos and even attended their concert in my country that same year. It was also the hardest time of my life, and SEVENTEEN saved me in ways they’ll never know. I’m so grateful and glad I stayed. I may have found them late, but as they always say, we found them at the right time. I love my 13 goofy boys so much :(( and I only wish we could give them even a fraction of the comfort they’ve given us. Thank you for this video! Looking forward to next week! 🤍

QOTD: I first discovered them in early 2020 😭💖🩵 and they’re actually the first K-pop group I ever stanned! I wish I had known them since debut, but back then I wasn’t into K-pop.

I agree with you. I really find Mingyu having a positive mindset. I am also someone who doesn't have a goal. And I love your expression with grass and wind, as I resonate with it. I have never been able to describe it when I speak/think about myself, but I feel I can use your expression going forward! Thank you. I also want to adopt his mindset and positive way of looking at things! And so true about the setlist being so very hard this tour!

i found seventeen in 2020 after left and right! but i didn't get into their personalities until hot came out. ode to you is one of my favorite albums, so this tour was really special to me. it's admirable how hard they worked and how vulnerable they were willing to be for this docu <3

I’ve heard of Seventeen since Don’t Wanna Cry, but not into kpop yet. Few years after that I was starting to get into K-Hiphop and K-R&B but still not much of KPop. Things changed after God of Music because I was going through a rough time in 2023 and listening to that song gave me a lot of joy. Right after that, I watched their GoSe comeback special: God of Light Music and that’s the moment I knew I’m in love 😆 Since then, I started to dive deeper into their discography and realized how amazing their songs are. To me, their music sounds very rich and so well produced. There’s a special place in my heart for Woozi, Minghao and Dino but I really adore all of them. They all have positive mindsets that inspires me to do better and to love the things that I do.

afaik, joshua's mom is korean and she raised joshua alone as a single mother. joshua is her only child, so i think that's why he felt a great responsibility to do well. yeah hearing their thoughts is so inspiring. i think i relate to seungkwan a lot regarding my emotions (you'll see why later). but i really want to adopt mingyu's mindset. he doesn't have a goal, but he thinks if he keeps going, the result would surpass such goals. since i don't have a goal too, i've always lived like a grass that only follows the wind. it's so frustrating. but hearing him, i realised i should do my best regardless. what an admirable mindset to have. qotd: i discovered svt in 2018, because of their song 'don't wanna cry' and just seungkwan being everywhere promoting them. but i became a fan only recently (2023), because of seungkwan's relationship with astro. i was an aroha (astro's fandom). he was such a comfort to me, especially after what happened. scoups went on a hiatus after that incident, and came back mid 2020. 'ode to you' was quite an experience for the team. throughout the tour, they basically wilted one by one because of various reasons (covid-19, injuries, sickness). the setlist is also comparatively taxing to the body and is making them hard to breath (thanks, good to me, hit, getting closer). you might not know the songs yet, but they're crazy to include all of that in one setlist. i hope you'll see the choreos later, coz it's seriously insane. suffering many injuries, the members realise they should take care of their health more. i think that's why they try to work out regularly after that. the8 even said he started meditating around this time, after having such a hard time mentally. anyways, i'm really happy to rewatch this with you guys! it's so timely too 😁

Thank you so much for the reaction. I definitely wanted this haha. But now I cannot count how many times I cried watching this! ㅠㅠ I hope you end up listening to and watching the "Us, Again" video too, which is at the end of the playlist. It ties up the documentary, and the lyrics will be something familiar at the end, and they are so good. You have seen their live for this at the end of Nana BnB. --------- QOTD: I think the first Seventeen song I heard was A-Teen (an OST song by them) in 2018/19, casually. I have heard some other songs too, with DWC being my ringtone since 2020. But I became a carat in 2022 through Circles. P.S. I feel my personality has a bit of a mix of Wonu and DK. Like I am introvert and I do like being with people but need a lot of me time, and rather than doing one thing want to do various other things like Wonu. But my sensitivity and emotions are more similar to DK, hehe. And funnily enough, Wonu and DK are my biases in SVT. --------- Thank you and see you next week! ㅠㅠ

Knew about them since Aju Nice era, that song really spread widely among kpopper who is non carat as well during that time. After that, discover some of their song "hug, darling" but just a casual listener. 2023 is a year i really starts becoming their fan after watching a clip of gose, then discover gose, game caterers hybe. I'm enjoy watching others reaction to svt it always reminds me of my journey as well 😂

shaa94

jokes on you familia i already wanted to cry today… 😭😭😭😭

ashley deorsel castrosanto

QOTD: I was a casual listener & knew one or two members of seventeen since 2017/2018 but I became their avid fan in 2022 during the HOT era

Srish_moonchild

Thank you so much for reacting to this familia. Rewatching this makes me so emotional To answer your question regarding Scoups (forgive me if there are any inaccuracies in this) he did go on hiatus mid tour and came back when they released their 2020 mini album Haeng:garae and that’s where we got The Song Kidult (which I’m sure you guys are familiar with) Scoups co-wrote that song and it holds a special place in the hearts of every carat I feel.

Srish_moonchild

Yes hopefully they will check it out in the end

QOTD: Late 2019, end of September! Just perfect time for me to deep dive on them and fortunate enough tp see them live for the first time at ODE TO YOU tour (same tour here in Hit the Road) in my country in Feb 2020, before our lives halted due to covid.

Also the song “Us, Again” which they sang at the end of Nana BnB was made for this documentary. It is there in the end of this playlist

I have been waiting so long for you guys to react to this. Us carats have a love hate relationship with this series. While we love this series for showing this side of their lives, we hate the pain that comes with it. Still, every carat should watch this atleast once.
