Tell the Turning, the collection of Tara Shepersky's contemplative nature poems I illustrated last year, is entering its second printing! I'm so excited that we were able to find homes for all 500 copies in Print Run #1, and that Stefan Lorenzutti, our fearless publisher, decided it would be worth it to go for another round.

If you missed out on getting a copy the first time, pre-orders are going to put wind in our sails for this second foray. You can find all the details at telltheturning.com.

I can't remember how much I wrote last year about making this book, but it truly was a pleasure to collaborate with two other folks who also value slowness and intention in creative work. When I'm stressing about my own projects and deadlines, it calms me down to think about how we were constantly asking ourselves "What would happen if we did...less?"
That freedom from desperately striving to do more, bigger, faster, better allowed us to make something that felt like a pleasurable stroll rather than a soul-wrecking sprint. And now we even get to do it a second time! But...slowly. Calmly.

I still have all the originals from the book pinned up in my studio. It's been so hard for me to get in there latelyβbrain-addled and sleep-deprived and heart-sore as I amβbut I managed it this morning, and managing it even for one day brings me back to the part of myself that can write updates and check off boxes and share enough to connect with an audience.
I'm not currently working on anything that resembles these pieces, but they soothe me anyway. I have no intention of taking them down.

Pre-orders for the second edition will ship beginning September 30th, so you'll have plenty of time to give them as gifts if you feel inclined. To all you who bought copies and helped us get this far: thank you, thank you, thank you.
