I didn't think we would have an episode being that deep right now, and also involving Beth again. Or more here, the Beths. Because we had a previous episode with Space Beth and Rick spending time together, confessing a little that they appreciate it, showing their relationship evolves. Here, we begin with both Space Beth and Beth saying they can't blame their dad for everything and that if they don't appreciate their lives now, it's not because of him.

But, as kids, we can see they are mad at their dad, they blame him for not spending time with them. And Rick, right now but also his ooooolder version, recognizes it, apologizes for it and says how proud he is of his girls. And both cried and fell in his arms, because they loved him no matter what, and if, as little girls, they needed a loving father, maybe, as adults, they also needed these excuses. And at the end, they found peace with the lives they have now, because/in addition to the fact that they found peace with their childhood and how Rick was with them.
