Hello !

I said during the intro that I couldn't see a future for a few characters, like for Mariko and her husband. And I thought of the possibility of losing her at some point because she was not giving up on the idea of killing herself. I couldn't imagine that this episode would be entirely centered around her and ending with her death. But I loved this episode because it was a good end for her character, a big homage in fact.

Mariko is really the center of the episode, showing all of her qualities. Being malicious and tenacious when she refuses to obey Ishido, being strong and fearless when she faces soldiers and fights against them, being loyal and brave when she's about to kill herself… The writers built this episode so well, by making us think she would die, by giving us hope she could escape and then by having her giving her life.
