Added 2025-06-25 16:42:19 +0000 UTCPart 1: Pre-Canon and Early Life
This section covers the protagonist's life before the main events of the Naruto timeline, including his original life and his early experiences after being reincarnated as Itachi Uchiha.
Original Life in California: The narrator originates from a small, quiet coastal town in Southern California. He grows up loving the ocean and solitude, fostering a preference for being alone over social interaction. He has two close friends: the quiet Lola Brooks and the boisterous, trouble-making Jeremy Fisher. Their friendship is built on shared interests like video games and anime.
The Friendship Ends: The trio's bond shatters just before high school graduation when Jeremy and Lola enter a romantic relationship, which the narrator finds himself unable to accept or understand. This emotional turmoil is compounded by his father leaving the family.
Reincarnation as Itachi Uchiha: The narrator is reborn into the Naruto world as Itachi Uchiha. A key flashback reveals Itachi's unusual birth: he was born with an active Sharingan but was temporarily blind, an event that was seen as a dark omen by some clan elders. His early childhood was marked by an unsettling quietness and a lack of desire for social interaction, which concerned his father, Fugaku.
The Uchiha Clan's Relocation: Following the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, Danzo Shimura decrees that the Uchiha clan must relocate to a compound on the outskirts of the village. Itachi helps his family move, reflecting on the fixed, unchangeable events of the Naruto plot he is now a part of, such as Minato's death.
Early Training and Family Bonds: At age six, Itachi is offered an early graduation from the Academy but declines, choosing instead to train directly under his father. Fugaku teaches him the A-rank jutsu "Thunderbolt," which Itachi masters on his first attempt, greatly impressing his father. During this period, Itachi begins to question the clan's deep-seated resentment toward the village, prompting Fugaku to explain their feelings of being sidelined and mistrusted.
Part 2: Genin Life and the Escalating Shadow War
This section details Itachi's time as a genin, his unorthodox training methods, the formation of Team 9, and the beginning of his covert operations against Konoha's darker elements.
Shadow Clone Deathmatch: Itachi develops a brutal and highly effective personal training regimen he calls the "Shadow Clone Deathmatch". He pits his shadow clones against one another in battles to the death, analysing the memories of the defeated clones to identify and eliminate personal weaknesses. By the time he discusses it with his father, his clones have "died" 116 times. This intense training leads his academy instructor to worry about his "combat fatigue".
Formation of Team 9: After graduating, Itachi is assigned to Team 9 alongside Tatsuya Hyuga, a talented but lazy member of the Hyuga main family, and Kaede Tanaka, a diligent but non-clan kunoichi. Their sensei is Izunaka Yuna, a formidable former ANBU operative with a harsh reputation.
Conflict with Yuna: During the team's introductory "bell test," where they must protect a scroll from her, Yuna quickly dispatches Tatsuya and Kaede. The test escalates into a serious battle between her and Itachi, who perceives her aggressive tactics as a genuine assassination attempt. The fight ends only when Yuna surrenders and allows Itachi to place her in a powerful, multi-layered genjutsu that traps her for three days. The incident leads to a formal inquiry where Yuna accepts blame, and at Itachi's request, she is allowed to remain his sensei.
The Start of Information Warfare: Drawing on his past life memories as a CIA analyst, Itachi begins building a sophisticated, covert intelligence network. This network uses animals, such as a crow named Kuro, communicating via unbalanced ternary code, a "Yin Release: Thousand-Mile Courier Technique" for information transfer, and a "Dreamscape Computation Jutsu" that utilises the brainpower of comatose missing-nin to process data. Through this network, he uncovers evidence that Kumogakure (the Hidden Cloud Village) is preparing for war.
Infiltrating the T&I Department: Feeling the increasing scrutiny of Danzo's ROOT agents, Itachi escalates his plans. Using a shadow clone and a forbidden "Mind Parasitism Jutsu," he takes control of a Jōnin named Shinichi Nara and infiltrates Konoha's Torture and Interrogation Department. He successfully accesses the archives and gathers critical intelligence on Kumo before his intrusion is discovered by Inoichi Yamanaka and he is forced to dispel the psychic parasite.
Orchestrating Conflict: While his clone is on a C-rank mission with Team 9, the real Itachi travels to the Land of Frost. There, he executes a plan to assassinate Kumogakure's Head Ninja, framing Konoha for the attack. This act is a calculated move to create a crisis that the Uchiha clan can leverage to renegotiate its standing within the village.
Part 3: The Coup and the Fifth Hokage
This section chronicles the outbreak of the Kumo-Konoha conflict, the Uchiha's political manoeuvring, Danzo's betrayal and seizure of power, and the final confrontation that reshapes the village's future.
The Uchiha Mutiny: The assassination of Kumo's Head Ninja succeeds in provoking the Raikage, A, who threatens Konoha with war. During an emergency council meeting, Fugaku, prompted by Itachi, uses the threat of war as leverage. He confronts the village leadership over their decades of mistreatment and surveillance, demanding the restoration of the Uchiha's rights. When his demands are met with hesitation, he declares that the Uchiha will secede from village affairs and seals off their district, an act that becomes known as the "Uchiha Mutiny".
Danzo and Obito's Plots: The escalating chaos provides an opening for other players. Obito assassinates the Lightning Daimyō and his family, leaving behind a single witness to report that the killer was an Uchiha wearing an ANBU mask, further implicating Konoha. Meanwhile, Danzo uses the crisis to push his agenda, arguing that Hiruzen Sarutobi is too weak to lead.
The Fall of the Third Hokage: The Raikage, enraged by the deaths of both his Head Ninja and his Daimyō, personally leads an attack on the Fire Daimyō's safehouse, where he is being protected by Hiruzen. A massive battle erupts. Danzo and his ROOT forces arrive, feigning to be reinforcements. In a stunning act of betrayal, Danzo signals his operative, Kakashi Hatake, to strike down Hiruzen with a fatal Chidori. ROOT forces then eliminate all witnesses, secure the defeated Jinchuriki Killer B, and take the Fire Daimyō into their "protection".
Danzo Becomes Hokage: With Hiruzen dead and the Fire Daimyō as his political hostage, Danzo stages a public address where he is endorsed as the interim leader. He is officially, though narrowly, voted in as the Fifth Hokage by the remaining council, whose dissent has been silenced through intimidation and purges. His first official decree is to place the Uchiha District under a complete siege.
The Sannin's Return and the Alliance of Clans: Itachi's clone discovers the truth of the coup from the Monkey King, Enma, and alerts Jiraiya, who in turn brings Tsunade back to the village. Fugaku secretly meets with the Sannin and the suspicious clan heads (Nara, Hyuga, etc.), providing them with irrefutable evidence of Danzo's long-term crimes, including the locations of his hidden research bases and proof of his harvesting of Sharingan eyes.
Operation Null Horizon and the Final Battle: Before Danzo can launch his planned decapitation strike, Itachi's "Red Team" initiates "Operation Null Horizon," a preemptive attack that destroys seven of ROOT's most critical hidden bases, crippling Danzo's military capabilities. Danzo, desperate, forms an alliance with the Akatsuki, promising them the Eight-Tails and half of the harvested Sharingan in exchange for their help in annihilating the Uchiha. The final battle takes place within the Uchiha district.
The Defeat of the Invaders: The Uchiha clan, led by Fugaku and Itachi, defend their home against the combined forces of ROOT and Akatsuki. Itachi defeats and forces Orochimaru to flee, before finally killing Danzo for good. Fugaku, using the Seventh Gate, single-handedly defeats all Six Paths of Pain.
The End of Obito: Fugaku and Itachi corner a wounded Obito. Having secretly transplanted Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan(the pair having previously cornered and captured Kakashi), Itachi is able to pursue Obito into the Kamui dimension. There, they overwhelm him, forcing him to expend his one use of Izanagi to survive, leaving him powerless before they finish him off.
A New Beginning: The Uchiha emerge victorious, though with heavy casualties. In the aftermath, Fugaku confronts the newly arrived Jiraiya and the other clan heads. He demands that a trustworthy government be formed, starting with a new Hokage. Jiraiya accepts the responsibility and becomes the Sixth Hokage. His first act is to send a letter to the new Raikage, Yugito Nii, offering a truce and the return of Killer B. Yugito Nii, agrees to consider the offer, halting the escalating war
