Resurrect Rune
Added 2025-05-23 05:23:46 +0000 UTCWindborne and weismax33 brought up some really good points that warrant consideration. Hence, I have decided to again toss a pivotal decision to the community since I am too indecisive to do so myself.
Vote to retcon Rune's death: I only need to change a few lines of text to make this possible. If you believe she would be worth the stress of Paul taking her captive and reforming her, let me know here so I can make the necessary changes live

Being able to have a perfect mobile sniper nest is scary as fuck given most capes aren't bulletproof. I don't believe for a second Paul would miss out on the opportunity for that.

Victor was killed, as well as any other capes in the Herren clan. The difference between them and Othala & Rune is that they have already done some bad things. Othala was kept back for her utility, so she hasn't really committed any crimes. Same for Rune, but her utility was transport so her crimes were just getting into cape fights. Taylor will probably care less about Victor than Rune.

I mean, sure she's a villain/nazi so some PHO commenters will applaud it but the society at large will condemn the death of any capes because that's "the way it is". Everyone has kinda bought into the Cops Vs. Robbers status quo that any death of a cape is shocking. Taylor, stubborn "Imma be a hero despite being on a villain team" might flip out and do something crazy if Paul takes the kid gloves off now instead of prepping her to trust him with the power of life and death. I'm not saying "go pacifist route", but for someone as Machievellian as Paul, that sudden Shock and awe of having a dead cape at his feet is something he can harvest and use to his full benefit. I mean you kinda did that with the whole unmasking, but the shock factor might be more valueable elsewhere.
