Someone who, due to a lack of emotional development, fails to consistently meet their child's emotional needs and instead prioritizes their own. They often display characteristics such as selfishness, a lack of empathy, emotional volatility, and an inability to take responsibility. As someone who had a parent like that she hits a very specific nerve for me.
