You see this in how doflamingo is the head of the donqujote family but trebol is the mastermind behind everything, manipulating doffy, endoctrinating and molding him into the person he wanted him to be from youth, just like emperor palpatine did to Anikin Skywalker.

2025-06-12 20:38:33 +0000 UTCHey guys! We are newring the end of Dressrossa and the final battle has come! Time to clear some things up from this episode that can be a bit hazy. Trebol decided to follow and protect Doffy after learning he unlocked Conqueror's Haki, because of how extremely rare it is and that only the greatest willed leaders are born with it. He saw a boy that could grow into an incredibly dangerous and powerful man that had the will to be a King or Conqueror hence the name. Armament Haki was used in their fight, yes, but the Black Lightning you saw was what Conqueror's Haki looks like to people who can see Haki being used. You don't see this effect much before now but you will see it much more going forward. Conqueror's Haki is what Rayleigh and Shanks demonstrated in forcing their enemies to faint. Its the force of will so strong you can crush the wills of others, especially non Haki users like the Celestial Dragons Guards. Luffys biggest show of this was during Fishmen Island when he made 50,000 or half of Hordy's army faint under his immense willpower. Conqueror's Haki was unlocked by Doffy during that scene of his torture as Heather saw. Luffy unlocked his when Hancocks sisters were threatening Margaret pre time skip in Amazon Lily, and even Ace gave his first showing during his backstory, proving he had it as well. He just didnt have a teacher yet like Luffy. That's the real reason the Navy wanted him dead so bad. After seeing what Roger could do, a new him with a Logia DF could have been an even more dangerous threat to the World Gov and the Navy. Especially when his Little brother has Conqueror's too and working together they could have been nigh unstoppable. 😭 Poor Ace! Whitebeard was a Haki user with Conqueror's too. But its likely he lost his will to be King after taking in Roger's son and the rst of his family. He wanted Ace to be King of the pirates, and Ace wanted Whitebeard to be the next King. Them both lacking the ambition to be King of the Pirates themselves is likely why they never showed it in Marineford during the war. Ace did show Conqueror's briefly in Marineford, but still never knew he had it since no one had the time or place to tell him.
