It was so traumatic for him to be stuck there for 2yrs that he cant even tell his friends what he suffered. Simping is his character flaw, just like the devil fruit eaters is with sea water or Luffy having to eat lots of food after a battle, Zoro always getting lost, Nami's love for money and Usopp always lying. these character flaws are what make them well written characters. And everything has a reason why its there.

2024-11-30 09:42:44 +0000 UTCOne thing to remember is that Sanji wasn't there to learn a moral lesson, he was there to get stronger and to improve his cooking. He also went 2 years without his favorite thing, simping. For me it'd be like going 2 years being forcibly sperated from eating sushi, I'm sure I'd unbearable the first time I finally got back in a sushi restaurant

All of this info comes from the SBS (aka the readers/author little silly Q&A section) of the One Piece manga volumes. Japanese readers would ask all sorts of random questions, like how often each Straw Hat takes a bath—seriously, the weirdest stuff! LOL. So, here’s the blood type breakdown for the Straw Hats: X: Nami, Chopper, Brook F: Luffy S: Usopp, Robin S (RH -ve): Sanji XF: Zoro, Franky Oda also mentioned that Luffy and Sanji are the only two Straw Hats without another "donor" in the group. Chopper would occasionally extract their blood and store it, just in case. And Sanji’s blood type is super rare, even in the One Piece world, so finding a match is really tough (according to Chopper). This can be a plot, or showcasing the obstacle of the blood transfusions among fishman and human, or symbolism of "blood" in a story. But of course, Oda being Oda, he chose to make nosebleeds a thing instead of injury from fighting, because that's just his unique sense of humor and trolling at work! LMAO.
