Being a warlord, he was called in to Marineford by the Marines to join the war against WB. While there, he went missing and we later find out that he stole a marine ship just before he went to Impel Down. We can guess that, since the government gave no warning about him leaving, that Impel Down thought the incoming ship was sent there by the Marines so they let it in. While he was still in Marineford, BB had the Marines in the control room instructed through hypnosis by Lafitte to open the Gates of Justice of Marineford for 'any marine vessel' without confirmation. The plan was to go to Impel Down and recruit the worst prisoners to join his crew, then come back to Marineford to kill WB (and yes, Shiryu is the previous Chief Warden of Impel Down that was imprisoned for his cruelty against the prisoners). But by hypnotising the marines, they also allowed Luffy, Jimbei and the freed prisoners to go through the gates of Marineford, as they were travelling on a stolen Marine ship too.

Also, I love your theories and the way you are also starting to put pieces together. I can see you are picking on Oda's writing style and have a good grasp of how characters behave and from that, you can foresee whether certain things are likely or unlikely to happen. Perfect! 👍

Not that I like Whitebeard better or something; It was the monstrous power, the grandiose and romantic lines like "The One Piece is real", the flashbacks with him and Roger, the emotional score and scene-setting that was done amazingly, etc.

All of the others have some philosophical opposition to Luffy, and Luffy mentally defeats them before he does so physically. But Akainu doesn’t care. As Jason described, he’s like a Terminator. Luffy is utterly powerless against him and doesn’t influence him like the other villains. Akainu is an extremist who views everyone opposed to the government as non-human, so nothing they say or do registers in his mind. He essentially embodies everything that is wrong with the World Government. That’s why Oda waits until this arc to fully introduce him. Fun fact: Akainu was present during the destruction of Robin’s island, and if you go back to those episodes, you can catch a glimpse of his warped worldview. He’s basically Rob Lucci on steroids. The only other villain as dangerous as Akainu is Blackbeard, but in my opinion, Akainu surpasses him because of his sheer, ridiculous strength.

He entered the main stage 25 episodes ago, and yet it feels like he's been in the story the whole time. He is so well written. Oda just knows how to make you love characters. It's crazy how good he is at it

There's a setting that says - "When Windows detects communications activity:" If it's on anything other than "Do Nothing" change it so that it is on "Do Nothing" That was a problem I use to have since it can misread the sounds and turn down the audio on things you don't want actually turned down

It solidifies his legend in their world with perfection!💕 A whole lotta heartbreaking & gut-wrenching scenes these last few OP episodes. But riding the wave of extreme highs & lows is what makes OP so emotionally memorable. He is one of the last pirates of the Old Generation. With him gone, the new generation, like Luffy and Blackbeard, can take over and shape the new pirate era…whether in a good or bad way that remains to be seen.

Not only in this battle probably for his entire life White Beard held his strength back so he would limit the damage he causes and so he wouldn't hurt his sons. White Beard basically put himself at a disadvantage by choosing to build a family around him.

And the seeds of his plan was there all along, Shanks warned Whitebeard that Teach was going to come for his head eventually. I love him( villain wise) PS: Whitebeard is still my top 3 character to this date because i was adopted so i resonate with him.
