It just shows how there must be greater evil that we must face in order to join hands together. It kind of reminds me of when the pandemic hit, we were focused on it trying to solve it. Then we survived it. Just to go back to war and destroying each other. AOT is so timely. Isayama sensei definitely did great telling this story thru AOT

2024-10-04 15:40:04 +0000 UTCThese episodes are great, so much unfolding all at once. The campfire part is one of my parts of the show. Everyone is together letting their anger and frustration out, but they’re communicating. That’s what should’ve been happening. They’re talking and working things out and putting their differences aside for the greater good, to try and save humanity. This is a great example of why I love AOT so much, the parallels between this whole manga/anime and reality. It’s just so amazing to think about. Just a head’s up the final episode ( the dawn of humanity) which is absolutely one of my favorite episodes ever, is a flashback. A lot of people get confused watching this episode, but it is indeed a flashback. These last few episodes are an emotional roller coaster! It’s the culmination of everything from the very beginning of AOT, to the setup of the finale of AOT! I’m so excited! I can’t wait for you two to watch! Jason and Heather, I hope you’re ready!

2024-10-02 22:11:45 +0000 UTCInstead of my 2 cents, & since Regie asked about a younger person’s opinion about AOT… Jayton says: when I started AOT it was scary to me, but now it’s a different kind of scary that actually impacts me. Seeing hatred that reflects events from our real world is terrifying. And it’s sad that we reached a point where the extinction of humanity & the world is what finally makes everyone sit down to talk. And even then, they still struggle to put their hatred aside while talking.

2024-10-02 18:19:01 +0000 UTCEp85 is “Traitor”, ep86 is “Retrospective”, & ep87 is “The Dawn of Humanity”; that would be S4 eps 26-28. I agreed that H&J should watch to the very end of the credits of the last movie, for the complete ending.

2024-10-02 18:17:27 +0000 UTCI think it is two episodes...26 (86) titled "Traitor" and 27 (87) titled "Retrospective" because you guys just finished episode 24 (84) and 25 (85). After that you have the 2 hour long movie episodes which would technically be 28 (88) and then 29 (89) even though they are labeled E-SP1 and E-SP2. Well at least on Crunchyroll they are labeled that way. Of which, it is REALLY IMPORTANT to watch episode 29 (89) / E-SP2 all the way past the credits until you see "THE END". Why? Well you get a little bit more story during the credits. Trust me its worth it.
