2024-01-20 18:47:14 +0000 UTCYeah I'll be honest I've been avoiding the Starfield letsplays for kind of 3 reasons. 1. Starfield is the first Big Bethesda Game I can actually play on launch but I was not paying that much money sight unseen and then what I saw convinced me to wait for a sale. 2. Starfield, even according to those who love it, is a fairly bog standard Bethesda game and they are always best with mods. That means that the modding API needs to come out and then it's gonna be another 3 months on top of that before good mods and a good modding ecosystem for the game really emerges. 3. I had some minor social media drama related to starfield groups I was in so that soured me to it. I love your Fallout 4 content and I routinely rewatch your stuff and I love modded Fallout 4 so ordinarily I would be salivating for a modded Fallout 4 series. Sim Settlements 2 is a mod that is both so large and complicated that if you're going to play it then it will eat up a sizable chunk of your load order or at least be a big part of the game play experience. It also is a mod that basically exists to provide an alternative the Settlement system currently in the game and to Preston Garvey. I love Preston Garvey and I love the vanilla settlement system. So your greatness as a letsplayer is pulling against my own bias against the mod that the letsplay series is focused on. That's my perspective. I feel kind of guilty that I haven't been watching your current stuff. (Though I love the livestreams) I've been playing a lot of Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 and have played all the Power Wash Simulator levels. Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 is an intensely boring game with minimal if any narrative but the devs are great and working on the game and the gameplay clicks with me.
