Pacing Plans for July-Dec 2025

Hi everyone! It's time for a mid-year update!

Longform Comics

Help! I'm Stuck as a Bunnygirl! and Secretary to CEO, the two "Odds" titles are ongoing. I imagine both of them ending probably somewhere between issue 6-9 for each, early to middle of 2026. I plan to finish Secretary to CEO Issue 4 in late July and Help! I'm Stuck as a Bunnygirl! Issue 4 in late September.

My "Evens" titles, E-Girl and L.A.R.P. are slow burn titles and will continue ongoing. E-Girl #7 will begin July 22nd and continue through August and into September. I'm not setting a pending release date for LARP 3, but it's possible LARP 3 won't begin until December 2, due to some short comics I want to do in October and a plan for another novel project (described below) in November. If you are hungry for more LARP, though, let me know, as there's a scenario where I could start it in mid-October.

More Frequent Short Comics

I've been increasing the number of short comics each month. These will either be one-day short posts or spread out over 2-3 days. "Just Like That!" is the first of this new format this month, with "Unexpected Evolution" as a 3-part sequence-comic next month, and "Fool's Ball" the month after. There's also a few months where I want slightly longer short comics: early October I decided to do an 11-page short comic called "Quiet Valley." As projects like "Just Like That!" come out, please let me know how you like them, as how frequently I do those comics going into next year is still an open question for me.

More Bonus Galleries

I'm scheduling weekly groups of images related to ongoing projects of bonus images!

Prose Projects

Prose Projects for now are big projects I tend to release at the end of a month.

"The Flow" should be in the ballpark of 120-130,000 words total, with Part 2 released June 30th, and the novel's completion July 31st. August will have a longish short story called "Consent Island" (cerebral), and September will have a "long-side-of-novella" work called "Swap Contract." For "Swap Contract" I'm debating some sort of incremental release but that's TBD. October will have a novella called "Willow Creek" at the end of the month. I'll discuss November momentarily, but basically prose projects are my "black hole" projects that I'm sinking insane amounts of mental bandwidth into. But the very reason they're prose projects is because they are 'riskier' in some way, including an element that might not work for some reason as a comic, and that risk means that some of them will not land with some people.

A question with Prose Projects is pacing their releases. I'm going to be experimenting with various release formats. "The Flow" for instance is huge, easily novel length, and I'm curious if the 'super huge' story drop of a third of the novel feels exciting, or if it would be easier to manage and more enjoyable for prose projects to be spread out over the month.

The Flow - Gaming Materials - Vanguard Campaign Setting

I decided to make some gaming materials related to The Flow, basically a Lancer campaign setting and guide for a module called Vanguard. I'm still playing with the release schedule for these materials, but right now I'm slating for one "session" with tokens and a very detailed guide per month, spread out over about three updates. But I'm playing with the release schedule. I'll either do 1 "token pack" and 1 "session guide" per month, or something like 3 updates ("Session 1") in August and then 6 updates ("Session 2-3") in October. Right now it's looking like I might do a bigger drop in late October.

Vanguard Text-Based Live Game?

I've vaguely considered having a tier option to run three sessions of the Vanguard Mini-Campaign. I'm genuinely unsure if there's interest in this, but if you're interested, let me know! I'd probably run through a mix of Discord and Roll20, text only with no voice. So the idea would probably be a four hour window each sunday (NA Time) over the course of like a month of live text-based tabletop gaming. But until I know if there's any interest, what month this would occur is open.

November - Rift Guardians Prose Project

In in the spirit of NaNoWriMo, November will include a long-form prose project. The key difference here is that "Rift Guardians" will be released throughout the month incrementally, unlike most Prose Projects which will usually have their big drop on the last day of the month (other than Swap Contract). "Rift Guardians" will involve a defensive wizard that joins a group of heroes that defend the world from invading monsters . . . but every time the monsters hurt them, their bodies transform. Also all his allies are down bad.

Leaving Room for Commissions

It's occurred to me that trying to 'plan' or describe my comic plans more than a month in advance means I'm functionally not leaving myself room for commissions, including commissioned comic issues. I in general am continuing to try to figure out the best way to manage communication, but given that I do accept commissions, always remember that whenever I do one of these updates, 'this thing will happen this month' is a current plan that can in fact change. Generally major commissions I would try to share on the Evens track.

Slow Burn Prose Project -- January-April 2026

Next year, I plan to release another novel. The idea of the book is that it would be a "slow burn" feminization, somewhat in the vein of "The Flow," albeit a fantasy work with witches. It will be in the same universe as LARP but set hundreds of years earlier. I'm planning to think about the amount of interest in prose projects as I figure out how to pace this release and how to handle it otherwise. This is far out, but I'm hoping its useful to basically indicate that I am reaching a point where I have more or less specific plans for releases through May of next year, for those who might be considering annual subscriptions.

Discord / Alpha Readers

https://discord.gg/cg5FWnNWdq -- I could always use more 'alpha readers' to give more feedback on projects, so if you would be interested in occasionally getting 'extra' early access to something that's still in a partial stage of completion, do say hi in the Discord! Particularly for Prose Projects right now. Honestly there's a ton of times it would help to just get quick feedback on fonts or stuff for comic pages, and if you'd be down to be pinged about that let me know!

Overall Tone and Content Types

An ongoing existential question for this patreon is the typical 'rating level' people are looking for. Generally I just go for my gut on what makes sense for any individual level, but there's definitely certain things that will be hard turn-offs for certain people. This is an important question for me, that I will continue tomorrow.

But here's an approximate sense of how I see the next few months going:

July-August -- "Classic Format"

1 - Monthly plan

Evens and Odds unspecified below: Comic page releases

4-5; 12; 20; 24 - Short comics or animations

End of month - Prose Project

September -- "Prose Experiment 1"

Same as classic format, but with ~4-5 updates for "Swap Contract" prose updates

October -- Mini-Projects

Start of Month - "Quiet Valley"

End of Month - TBD short comic probably, or a mix of halloween things

November -- Rift Guardians novel

Although I continue experimenting, January-September of 2026 will probably be close to the "classic format" I'm developing.
