Too-real Barbie Costume

Barbie didn't even come out this year, it felt like a dated costume.

And yet, as the crowd looked on at the costumed person walking down the street, they couldn't help but stare and comment.

"Is that face plastic? How did she do that?"

"That can't be real. Maybe it's actually one of those human-like robots?"

"No way! It has to be a real person down there somewhere!"

Down there somewhere Bobby thought to himself. If only they knew. He sometimes tried to speak to them, to cry out. But despite how real his face looked, he couldn't move his lips, couldn't cry out, couldn't make a peep. He'd tried to get people to help, initially, but they just took his frantic and silent efforts to reach out to them as some sort of elaborate Halloween prank. He was worried if the police showed up he'd get shot.

How the hell was he going to get out of this cursed Barbie costume?

With every step, he felt like the body was moving more on its own accord as well. . . the sway of the hips, the confidence in the heels. And thoughts were starting to intrude as well. . . where was Ken? Who would be Kenough for her?

He had -- to get out -- of this costume!
