LARP: 14

As the sun crept higher into the horizon, our reverie over this beautiful new dawn was cut off by the sound of movement behind us.

As we turned, we saw a pirate man approaching us -- something about him didn't seem entirely human, but he also wasn't obviously a fantasy species I was used to -- with a thick black beard, wispy black hair, a tall and broad stature, and a rather fanciful looking sword on a hilt at his side. He moved with a thick black jacket, although its tail was tattered, and a spyglass was ready in his hand.

"Ahoy, maties. Glad to see you're up and ready. In a short while, we'll be docking at the Fingers," he began to say. I turned and listened, giving him my full attention, and saw that the other had as well. Here we were, talking to a fantasy captain! "When we do, that's where you'll come in. Your job is to retake the mine that Cliffside set up there," he said simply.

I paused for a moment, and then leaned to Fook, and asked, "So are we talking to Zoe right now, or...?"

Yet Kalim, without missing a beat, strode forward and pat the captain's shoulder with a sly smile. "Of course, captain, of course!" she said, turning back and looking at all of us with a go with it expression. "We will be happy to retake the mine--just as we agreed back in... Cliffside." She paused just a moment, double checking she understood the setup appropriately.

The captain nodded. Yes... I guess we had all agreed to do this job back in some city? "Good. While you're doing that, the Admiral will head on to the Mill, and retake it. We still don't know exactly how our encampment here got cut off, but it's likely them lizardfolk."

"We'll fuck 'em right up!" Fook called, enthusiastically. "Fuck them lizardfolk!"

The captain gave him a strange look, but then nodded. "That's the spirit, matey!"

With that, he nodded and went back up to the wheel of the ship. I guess he'd been there the whole time?

"Well, seems straightforward enough," Kalim said once the captain was gone. "We go to the island and do some violence and get called heroes for it. Sounds good."

"Fuck yeah!" Fook said.

"Are you going to say 'fuck' all the time?" I asked.

"Shit, it botherin ya missy?" Fook asked, grinning down at me.

Why did it feel like he was patronizing me now? "Just feels odd."

"This is good," Kalim said, considering. "We'll know when the violence is most likely to start, so we can set up buffs basically right as soon as we get off the boats, I bet. You all ready?"

"FUCK YEAH!" Fook said.

I laughed. As much as it was annoying me, I had to appreciate his enthusiasm.

Soon, the relevant island -- The Fingers -- drew near. From the shore it practically looked unpopulated, with empty beaches and a dense treeline just past the beach. The waters near the beach looked aquamarine and beautiful. If we hadn't just been told this was a place of danger, I'd say it looked like a fantastic vacation spot.

With a large amount of hustle and bustle, some of the crewmembers of this large ship began to unfasten the longboat tender, and lower it down the side. Once it was set in the water, a rope was slung down the side, and without a moment's wait, Kalim began to rappel down the rope down to the tender set in the water. Moon followed a moment after.

"This should be easy, right?" I asked.

Fook laughed. "Little missy scared of climbing down a rope?"

I was tempted to say shut up but instead, I found a way to twist it around to, "Just afraid of you coming down after me and capsizing the boat!"

Fook laughed at that.

For just a moment I wondered--had my character just changed what I said? Or had that been me?

Although, now that I thought about the act of descending, I remembered once again I was the only one wearing a dress. Well... hopefully it wouldn't be that bad.

Gripping the rope, I realized this was the first time I'd really tried to use my muscles or coordinate in this body.

I carefully slid up onto the railing of the ship, gripped the rope with my hands, and then began to push out my butt so that my feet were pressed against the side of the ship. The crew seemed to be looking at me smirking, as though I was making a buffoon of myself, and yet I was sure this was the most sensible way to descend.

As I began to push back, I was surprised both by my own weight and the immediate heat that went to my arms. I might be a fantasy hero in this world, but it was immediately apparent that I was much less physically strong than I was in my male body on earth. My heart was racing as I began the descent.

The dress, even as a dress, was flexible, and clearly easy enough to move in that I could run without tripping, despite its fanciful design. Although I was definitely worried that my panties were showing the entire time I was descending. Assuming I was wearing panties? The thought made me blush--and I nearly slipped.

Finally, I leaned my foot back, and reached out--finding Moon's hand grabbing mine and guiding me into the Tender.

I had just barely gotten settled when Fook jumped over the edge of the ship and landed in a huge splash in the water beside us, before roughly swinging over and climbing into the ship, saltwater pouring in.

"That was fun!" he laughed. With his still wet hand he roughly slapped my back in a joking matter. "You should dive in too, Eimi! The water's nice!"

"I got sprayed nicely when you jumped in," I said. "It felt freezing cold to me."

"Really?" Fook said, confused. "I thought it was really nice." I realized he wasn't joking. Huh--was it possible I was more subject to the cold than he was?

"Well, tough guy, row us out!" Kalim said.

Fook look around. For a moment it looked like he was going to complain; he even glanced at Moon for a half second. Then he grinned. "Yeah, I got this!" he said, and taking both of the oars, he began to row us across the rough waves toward the beach of the island.

As the longboat drew close to the shore, without a moment's hesitation Fook leaped over the edge and began to pull the boat--with all three of the rest of us in it--up onto the shore. I could see how amused he looked, being completely responsible for all of us like that--and so clearly the strongest of the lot.

I slid my leg over the side of the boat once it was securely on the beach, and and stepped down onto the sand. Why had I chosen heeled boots? It wasn't unwalkable, but it felt strange being on this uneven surface in heels. I took a few steps, but then the sand gave out just a bit, and I found myself falling down--or more, sitting down forcefully.

As I looked up, I saw Kalim just ahead of me, turning over her shoulder and smiling down at me with a sly smile. "Come along, Eimi--can't let the boys get too far ahead." Even as she began to turn back, I couldn't help but notice how full her butt was.

This felt more natural, but feeling how natural it felt to notice Kalim's nice ass--even knowing it was Malik 'underneath' that character--I realized how flustered I'd been looking at Fook's muscles bulging as he pulled the ship up on shore.

I needed to get ahold of myself!
