"Hey," the man said.
With short, curly-black hair, he stood with feathery wings, like an angel, with aristocratic clothes. A double-breasted navy-blue waistcoat hugged his torso, adorned with golden buttons. He had a brown skin tone and purple eyes, and looked to the side even as I looked at him, as though not quite interested in meeting my gaze.
"Damn, Sandy, you're a little stud-muffin!" Fook called out from beside me, bounding over to him in a few steps. In a fluid motion, quickly, Sandy stepped away from Fook before he could get wrapped up in whatever arm-pat or hug Fook had been going for.
"Moon is fine," Sandy said. "You can call me Moon."
"Sure, sure, Moon," Fook said, giving another bellowing laugh as he looked down at him. "But, you can't stop me from saying that, damn you're fine!"
"Thanks--Fook, was it?" Moon said. He remained aloof with his hands in his pockets. "So all that's left then is--"
"A captain?" a woman's voice said.
"Ahoy, cap'n!" Fook called out, smiling at her. "Looking hot there, Malik!"
"Why thank you, Sailor Fook," she said. "And you may call me Captain Kalim."
Malik's dark elf had midnight blue skin, long white hair, and purple eyes. Hmm, they actually were a simile hue to Sandy's Moon? With a black doublet, golden epaulettes pants and boots, she walked with a confident swagger over to us.
As she approached, I felt a strange feeling wash over me. I knew her. Moreso than I just knew Malik. That's right, we'd been talking about our connection in the session zero time...
I couldn't focus on that quite yet, though. As I looked down at Malik's pants, it dawned on me that I was the only one wearing a dress! I could feel another blush creep up my cheeks.
And yet, Malik's Kalim was rather cute nonetheless~!
"This rules, I'm surrounded by a bunch of bombshells!" Fook cried, laughing again. "I'm spoiled with riches already."
Kalim slid off her hat and slid next to me. "Oh, us? Are we your 'booty', Fook?"
I nearly blushed again as I realized that not only was I the only one wearing a dress, I was also the shortest of our group--although only just barely.
But having Kalim beside me, and looking up at Fook, I felt my heart racing. We were all really here.
"You both have some mighty fine booty, and I would absolutely call each a treasure!" Fook called, laughing.
Oh god, I was just ~dying~
And yet even then, there was a familiar coyness. I felt like I'd played this game before with Kalim--not with Malik, but me as Eimi felt a familiarity for Malik as Kalim. It was a surreal feeling.
"I mean, Zoe did say it was a magic potion," Fook said, turning to Moon with some incredulity. "I guess you wish you could reroll already?"
"No, I'm perfectly happy with my character," Moon said. "Don't mind me."
The rest of us glanced at each other. All of us were playing differently gendered characters, all of us had been thrust into Zoe's fantasy world. . . so why was it that Moon was the only one upset with everything?
