Quickly Understanding The Act 1-2 "Download Me" Experience Options

What will be in the new "Download Me" ticket Patreon tier and what is in the Fakename tier?

"Download Me" was not something I expected to be able to make this year. It has since become a completely overwhelming passion project.

That being said, "Download Me" is still "early access" in different senses. This has been an immensely challenging project to tackle, and many elements of it likely will change in the coming months. I am going to be spending July brainstorming and working on the script for 3-5. Likewise, I've been trying to figure out the most sensible way to distribute a project that is orders of magnitude larger, both in terms of file size and in terms of time put into the project.

Almost everyone reading this is in the Fakename Tier, so let's start with what is coming for you without needing to upgrade.

The Fakename tier will include:

The text+image 'image stories' setting up the videos, including the 'Welcome to HyperNova,' 'Act 1 Dramatis Personae,' and the 'Act 2 Dramatis Personae' posts.

The links to each core experience video of the visual album as it releases.

The link to the "Musical Experience" supercut in early June (maybe 40+ minutes? this is just an estimate, I'm still working on the dialogue for the in-between scenes)

As a sample of the types of things in the "Download Me" experience ticket, everyone will also get access to:

Earth 2074 Part 1 Pack -- This will include the .wav, video, and art pack for Earth 2074 Part 1 (track 1), as well as an alternate version I played with briefly that will not be on the album. The limitations of how I can organize things on Patreon may mean the free version on Gumroad is easier to navigate; there will on that note also be a free version of this pack on Gumroad if you prefer the organization there.

Included in the "Download Me Ticket" tier will be:

"Act 1" ($6 on Gumroad) -- This will includes tracks 1-4 (including Earth 2074 Part 1), the first four videos, the songs in .wav format, and the art pack for each video, including the "square" cut of Earth 2074 part 2.

"Act 2" (Act 1+2 will be $20 on Gumroad; I'm unsure if I'm releasing Act 2 standalone on Gumroad but will figure this out next week -- any case, this tier is matching the cost of the Gumroad full Act 1 + 2 option) -- This will include all 13 .wav musical tracks of Acts 1-2, all 13 videos of the 'visual album' of the musical, and [many?] gigabytes of 'stuff' overall (including an alternate cut of the songs 'Download Me' and 'Run', the vertical cut of the video 'Be Anything,' and probably thousands of images total).

I am mildly concerned about running into Patreon's upload limits (I will probably have to have the 'supercut' video mostly limited to youtube), so the way things are presented on Patreon may be slightly different than on Gumroad. Simply because of how Patreon is, some people might want to opt for the Gumroad version simply because it might end up slightly easier to navigate all the stuff, but Gumroad is a fickle beast in other ways so I'd just go with whichever platform you prefer.
