Twin Rings of Love and Desire - The Yandere Rings 

Genre: Fantasy/Modern F/Horror   

DESCRIPTION: Two ever relusents rings made of gold with ancient runes inscribed on them, a hard check can reveal that the runes on one ring mean"Love" while the runes on the other mean"Desire". These rings subtly shift in size to fit the hand of possible wearers, but despite that and their later effects, the rings lack any sort of magical aura.

EFFECT:

The rings must be worm by two different people for their effect to take place, and the true power of the rings is only manifested when they work in conjunct, as the effects start working as soon as the bearer of the "Ring of Desire" see someone using the "Ring of Love".

  Under its influence the bearer of the "Ring of Desire" starts feeling a growing attraction towards the bearer of the "Ring of Love", said attraction is manifested in different stages that get progressively dangerous :

• First Stage: Even if the subjects don´t know each other, the bearer of the Ring of Desire develops a crush on the bearer of the Ring of Love. Depending of their disposition the bearer of the Ring of Desire might try to court or flirt with the Bearer of the Ring of Love. Removing the ring at this stage removes its effects   

• Second Stage: The bearer of the Ring of Desire starts developing a behaviour similar to deep love towards the bearer of the Ring of Love. By this point the individual will fight against societal/class/moral norms to be forever together with their beloved, and try to please them as much as they can. On this stage the bearer of the Ring of Desire gets a Small boost on appearance/charisma. Removing the ring at this stage removes its effects   

• Third Stage: The bearer of the Ring of Desire will start behaving erratically, trying to remain as close with the bearer of the Ring of Love as possible all the time, acting aggressively towards those that they see as possible competition or a menace towards their beloved.  On this phase they will get a Moderate boost to Attack and Strength related checks when they believe their beloved is threatened and try to dress and act on ways that their erratic mind  believes their beloved would like. At last, on this stage the sex of the bearer of the Ring of Desire will change to match the preferences of the bearer of the Ring of Love, if they are incompatible.  Removing the ring at this stage removes its effects(editado)

• Fourth Stage: At this point the bearer of the Ring of Desire will usually attack anyone they see getting too close to their beloved, often locking the bearer of the Ring of Love to keep him "safe" and away from danger or competition. On this phase they will get a Big boost to Attack and Strength related checks when they believe their beloved is threatened, which happens often. Removing the ring at this stage removes its effects, but its a hard task as the bearer of the Ring of Desire will violently protect it as a symbol of their love and affection. If the bearer of the Ring of Love remove his own ring to try to escape his destiny, the Ring of Desire will remain unaffected.  

•  Fifth Stage: At this point the effects of the Rings become permanent. The Rings will usually "leave" their bearers and look for new victim

LIMITATIONS:

The period of time between each Stage is variable, depending of the plot. Sometimes they can last weeks, other times they can last one or two days.   

POSSIBLE USES:

The rings could be the creation of a demoniac pact with unpredictable twists or cursed items sold by mysterious merchants full of promises. An young merchant might try using the rings to marry upwards not knowing its other effects, a shady thief might use one of the rings as a bribe towards a town guard or a bandit king, just to be surprised by its other effects. One of the rings could also be among common loot for players, while the other belongs to an npc meet in another location.
