These male beetles are a sight for sore eyes, with or without their shells. I imagine a full moon of them, living their adventures, working and having fun with each other. The reference to 1950s culture struck me in a positive way. I don't know what the atmosphere of that moon is like, but I imagine some of these guys smoking and chatting, or working together, as was common in that historical period.
