If I had to gander...Marston was starting to get close to the truth and the Red Hooded figure pushed them back out of it to keep the truth hidden

So, we reach the end of Loop Zero, our first ‘failed loop’ – massive fan of the way the box around the update starts to become that dark red of a bad end, it was genuinely chilling. Concerning that we might have Enzo!Wolf running around in the past, as it appeared the actual Enzo was later interacting with Frederik and Kurt (based on beard and other appearance elements). I am starting to wonder, is the viewing of the past influencing it in some way? Did we make a mistake by viewing Loop 0? Given the way Marston interacts with the red hooded figure, someone else is present here – my assumption would be what remains of Red from the Carcass? I had at first thought Anathema, but this isn’t the way they act – the lack of a smile as well seems a telltale sign. Is this the moment where, after several centuries, Arbiter Red will reunite with Wolf in this half remembered past? And uhhhh well we see how the power of Zenion with his Lost worshippers is at a peak here and now, that he is even able to corrupt Voltranis in a semi-permeable form. I wonder, how do we get from this bestial Zenion, to the comprehensible one that died alongside Red at the end of the Zero Four’s Journey? Perhaps it connects to Wolf’s statement – he wanted to save Zenion. Jumping ahead to the end here, perhaps that is the bargain that Anathema now demands – that Red and Zenion are more fully bound to one another, empowering Red and grounding Zenion. The more I encounter Cossar, the more I like him – he has a strong motivating energy to the passivity that Wolf trends towards, a self-belief that contrasts with Dr Cleric’s self-defeating tendencies, and a flippancy compared to Red’s overt seriousness. I can see how, with his corruption, the Zero Four fell apart – lacking the spoke of their wheel. And now we see the start of Red’s motivation, watching how his refusal to grab at an offer led to the deaths of everyone he holds dear, unable to help. Would NOT be shocked if this is what Anathema planned, to make him obsessed with his powerlessness, to take any offer to become more powerful. Interesting to have confirmed something that seems to have been hinted at, that Marston’s powers are severely dampened by the Lost. And explains why his order were hunted down and killed – I imagine they were another risk vector, with the potential of being corrupted psychically as well as physically. Twisted, yes, but it makes sense. And yes, as I mentioned, meeting what remains of Red – I suppose it makes sense, right now we are engaged with Wolf’s RUIN vision, which seems to tap into the Carcass’ memories that are maintained between timelines. The red glow really makes me think that - and it would explain why Marston's powers aren't working, so close to a source of great corruption. And now the tragedy reaches the point where there is no turning back, with the heroes becoming Lost one after another. Fucking hell, poor Kurt, we see that when it comes down to it Enzo did love him… but a little too late. Interesting two things about Zenion – one, the pink eyes. When we see him in the depths of (presumably) his Dungeon his eyes were Red, again suggesting that something is going on here. Additionally, he is drawn to Red’s cries, even from this distance. I still think they have already made a contract by this point, unbeknownst to the otter. So, this explains why the Dragons have fled Vidora – Zenion’s connection to them, as divine instruments, means they are very quickly subverted into Lost, like the creatures that first met Zenion upon his ‘hatching’. And yeah… fuck… poor Kurt. All he wanted was to be with her, and the very existence of Zenion means their only union can be something twisted like this. And even more proof of the connection between Red and Zenion – Red alone remains uncorrupted, and summoned to the bestial God. With his future self in audience? I wonder how many times Red has relived his memories of this moment. I wonder if he regrets it, or not? Regardless, we are about to see the first time rewind, and perhaps the prophecy… so long as our presence hasn’t ruined this. But yes, speaking of the Prophecy, I wonder if this is Anathema’s condition as well? To do something completely impossible by the bounds of the tale, so to break the God’s hold on Vidora, and free VOICES’ siblings.
