To start I’m a big fan of seeing some of Wolf (still weird calling him Frederik haha) and Red interacting, both our sight of it via the Computer and Wolf’s wistful recollections. The pile of technology under the cities is interesting – I guess this is remnants of when the High Wizard controlled the world? Since his destruction, presumably the aim has been to prevent the people from having any form of technology not reliant on the Gods, to prevent another uprising. And I can imagine they probably trapped people down here as well, when the Heat started. And now we know all of the Zero Four bar Red (still think he had already had a bunch of his soul taken at this point, probably by Zenion) had their names taken by Gods – I guess it makes sense, if a live soul is such a delicacy, perhaps taking it as your moniker makes it last longer? Interesting to know what connection it makes between the God and mortal. Red is so interesting to me as he is so… calm? It feels really different to the slightly arrogant and cocky Red we have met in flashbacks so far, I am interested to see how he shifts as things get worse for the Zero Four. Big fan of Wolf’s anime pretty boy sparkles, you can see why Red fell in love haha. Really cool parallel of the happiness of Wolf’s found family, and the grotesque way in which the Gods feast on Zenion’s corpse. 11/10 story and visuals. Speaking of which, very fascinated by the whole dynamic of that encounter. I genuinely feel like the Gods we see were co-conspirators, or at least one of them took an action they couldn’t take back and forced the others into compliance. And so, a potential alliance may be struck to find out more, although admittedly I am more pro pumping for Honum for information beyond anything else. Then some failed timeline shenanigans – that is a concerning number of loops huh. The power of the Prophecy is really all consuming and seemingly unalterable. Looks like we managed to pull a few things back from the brink with Kurt’s corruption, the attack on port Zero, the pig shenanigans… but some definite warnings of a corrupted Dr Cleric. Commentary on the loops feels like it is coming from Anathema, if I were to have to guess – the same voice who does the Chapter titles. It could be Red in the Carcass, but it feels to me a bit more like ANATHEMA having been coloured by Red’s perception (the way he calls Cherry Apprentice fits with the way he referred to him as his Warlock). Interesting that the Port Zero attack explicitly blames Zenion – perhaps a loop where Cherry awakens too early? We are getting some more hints at Curly’s motivations too – it’s almost as if he can’t control himself at causing disruption, even as his overall goal is something else. Fits with the idea the Ministry can’t entirely control their own behaviour. Then finally, ‘Sacrifice’… looks like some loops, at the end, Cherry decides to end himself to stop the Lost? All those forced Ruin checks – it looks like Wolf, without his knowledge, is connected into the network that Phyxos uses, which is interesting. Nice to get explicit confirmation Ruin is connected to failed timelines, though interesting it is not by the method I thought. And regarding that finale – looks like the planet itself saw Zenion’s will for change and began to rebel, using the remnants of his soulless corpse. I am glad I got things the right way around – Zenion eaten first, then becoming a Beast. Perhaps this is why this era of Heroes is so weird – this was a group that the Gods weren’t planning to create, but emerged out of a genuine need not a scripted emergency. Perhaps they were drawn by Red’s connection to Zenion, which we know from Anathema already existed even before it and Red made a deal. And thus, the Heat is created, less perhaps from Zenion’s rage, but the weapon Vidora made of him. A lot of stuff falls into place a little better now, there is a time pre the Zero Four’s formation the Heat existed, and was causing issues, which explains the discrimination against Zenion followers.

Inject that cutesy shit directly into my veins, I want MORE romance! I feel we could do with a tad more? Ya know to really punch in how good they had it before they lost it all. I need my heart to be properly ballooned before it gets stabbed (especially all the panels with Freddy being super goofy URGH I LOVE HIM). Of course its all gonna lead to them becoming a party, so seeing how Red tampers with fate to change Frederick, Cossar and Hyundel into god worthy heroes is gonna be cool. It'd be nice to see the good parts of that, since we know their inevitable demise. My second favorite part is very selfishly the one panel with Lost in it. Love me a good multi TF. LIVE REACTION THOUGHTS: Alchemist bringing up fire stuff.. Mhmm, I see I see. Oh yes. OH YES I already like Bee I MEAN COSSAR OMG IT IS YESSS see? I knew that name'd fit him. Cos is even better, wow, thats really smart. Also kinda sounds like cuz, short for cousin, which he sorta gives off those vibes. I love Wolf so much he's so goofy. FINFANGS!? thats an awesome name too. not the "witness me" xD YES YES CLERIC ALSO HAS A NEW NAME!! Thats why we're here in the first place, and he just has to deal with all our shenaniganry I guess xD The Loops. DUDE those numbers are incomprehensible to the mortal mind. They literally mean nothing with howe large they are geez (unless there is some meaning to be derived from a code of numbers (which Im not gonna try and solve, personally)) Of course of course, horny ends to cater to all of us individually and specifically. The pig one is my favorite, they all look SOO good as pigs, damn. There's one more interesting one, though, thats good. Dunno what it means... Did Cherry just straight up kill Wolf? Or himself? Oh no! Not the Ruin checks! Oh hahahaha not Ormen just excusing himself as his angels get corrupted by the heat haha. YES I LOVE THE LOST they're the horniest thing! THAT ORTC has so many cocks, I love multi! I LOVE Zenion's design. Or Zeni, idk. He's so so so much cooler like this. Also all the biblical references just add to the appeal of his lore! Time to do some reading comprehension. I guess in a future update we'll learn how ANATHEMA connected Red and Zenion. We've seen Red and Zenion separate before, so presumably the whole loop thing starts after they're fused in some way. Which means ANATHEMA only gave Red his time powers and not much more. Leads me to question why Red would resort to forming a pact with ANATHEMA. People who form pacts are often mostly the desperate ones, and a pact for time related powers probably means something terrible happens that he needs to rewind for. So... its likely Frederick dies at some point, or gets got by a Lost (Oh PLEASE make Wolf's Lost form super hot and fucked up!) So presumably we'll be seeing what leads Red to get his powers and him trying to hold onto the good things in life as hard as he can. I doubt any of the BEINGS (from MS) stuff will be very explicit, but we do know that the EYES and VOICE are involved. The one other interesting thing I noticed was that all the loops have the same cadence as the end of chapter speech with all the "//" double slashes. I wonder if there's something to that. Like, do we have a BEING in charge of the loops? I mean, I guess it'd make sense for VOICE to give Red powers so we'd come here and have a cool story, right? And so he'd be doing the loops himself, since thats how Warlocks kinda work, using someone else's powers and such. THE biggest mystery of the comic is what brought about Cherry's creation, and so thats what this whole chapter is leading up to.

I think he's the one in the Carcass, not Red, who I believe is Cherry, and it can't be Zenion. I think Wolf is the one creating the timeloops, or rather, Wolf is viewing the possible futures. I'm going to guess Wolf actually dies in the next update, and Red either brings him back with a deal with VOICES OR a godling possesses hima nd now he's the strongest god on Vidora thanks to the timeloops and uh oh.

I adore how natural their attraction feels to one another, one's strengths is the other's weakness and all that. And this is a really clever way to have Bee/Cossar tie into and be properly introduced to the group dynamic. They're all really endearing! The little visual gags also keep it spicy enough, but focused on the characters in the scene. I'm also glad to see that Zenion's primary motivation as an agent of change is being retained. I was a little worried that it would get lost in the predator/prey dynamic the gods seem to have, when I think the most compelling aspect about this drama is how its meant to reflect a gameified "rut" of sorts, hence the JRPG conventions being played with and alluded to in the earlier chapters and all throughout. Good stuff! The uh, "Sacrifice" themed loop is especially intriguing considering the connotations I have with Cherry's line there, lol.
