pixel project update

not much to show on either project this week, the programmer will probably have something to show me for fenris sunday, and at that point i'd rather wait for the next time to show you how the game is progressing-

in the meanwhile i worked a bit more on the big skeleton boss. Not that many animations but i had fun doing them as always!

i redid the idle for the serpentine form for example-

the new one is much more clearer in its movements but i still like the old one a bit. What do you peeps think?

after that i finished the body animations by animating the serpentine form attack

 

the concept is that it grinds its ribs on the ground so hard they all detatch and fly towards the player like projectiles, as i showed in the animation sketches here-

the individual ribs flying towards the player will be the programmer's job to implement so my job here is p much done. On to the next task, the head and hands!

as always i sketched a bit how the animation would work on this particular piece of the boss

 and once the programmer told me they were ok i went to town with it-

so we have the head transitioning to the idle animation and the idle animation

and the head firing its lazor

aand that's pretty much it for this week. Pretty sure i'll have some fenris high goodies next time so stay tuned! catch you later peeps!

They look pretty cool. The attack actions look cool. As for the body idle form, won't lie, new one feels a little off. Like the reebs in the tail looks a bit rubbery compared with the first version. It could be just me, but maybe if they have a similar action like first version perhaps? It's up to you guys really.
