Fenris high & Pixel art project update

another update for the games i'm working on, altho this one is pretty small, had been some trouble sleeping the past two days. Luckily the programmer has tackled the intro cutscene beautifully and as you can see in the video it's back in! Now that movement, interactions, inventory management , dialogues and cutscenes are in place we can start on the next and last part before the game has most of its features back : combat.

on my side i didn't do much this week unfortunately due to the aforementioned sleeping issues. I did manage to start working on the first boss of the programmer's game, a big skeleton at the end of the crypt where you find those other skeleton enemies i already shown you peeps. 

the boss is divided into a body, two hands and a head. I tried to change things up but in the end the programmer decided to go for a basic big skeleton ( 13 body, 14 hands and more or less 6 head)

i managed to sketch its attacks and yeah, he's humping the ground in one of them. These skeletons are quite horny for some reason, but apparently the programmer said there's an explanation for it in game, and now i'm kinda curious what that is XD

in the end in terms of animations and spriting i only manage to complete a single transition animation so there's not much to show aside from skeletal pushups. The animation ended up being really bland so i'm going to redo it , but i wanted to show you peeps what i had nonetheless.

The way the large bone structure forms reminds me of the Faust fight from the Shaman King GBA games, and I always really liked the sprite-work for bosses in those. Do you ever find it more difficult to do sprite-art when the subject is made up of so many separate parts, like in the case of a skeletal structure, compared to more uniform silhouettes?

The video looked pretty nice so far, and man, that intro sound for the tittle screen felt pretty into the spot too! Love the boss bases so far too. Jeep up the awesome week you guys ^3^
