aaand we're back with updating zap & andy ! this week i didn't manage to work on it as much as i wanted because i made a stupid mistake on one of the animations (i made it 20 pixel too small! so i had to basically redo most of it >_<) i still managed to squeeze some progress into this chapter starting with the main casino area-

as you can see i remade some of the cabinets and animated the central lava pool- I'm ...not super happy with the smoke effect, i'll probably do something a little more subtle, but for now this will do.

after that i designed andy's childhood home kitchen, i really wanted to give it a cozy , nineties feel, since mal basically brought the home wholesale from heaven when he left and pretty much kept it as it was for thousands of years.

i also wanted to animate the boys and mal having a lil pancake breakfast, but i ran out of time, so i just managed to draw each individual sprite. I'll animate it properly next time

speaking of mal, i also animated him talking. Nothing too fancy, but it needed doing

and least but not least there's mal's intro animation- this is what took most of my time lately, and after all the work i put into it i discovered it was too small! XD you can imagine my frustration! but now everything's fixed and i can show you how it'll likely look ingame. Again mal's is an old fashioned demon and puts a lot of effort when he wants to introduce himself to people, even if it's own son! zap isn't thrilled by his manifestation, and andy would like for him to cut the crap instead.
