more animations for the side pixel art project and a tiny fenris high update

last time i managed to finish the candle golem with his last animations, a landing animation

and his special skill , where he turns back into a big candle.

with the waxy guy out of the way the programmer put me in charge of the moveset of one of the playable characters this time. She's gonna have a bit more moves than the usual enemy so this is kind of a challenge, but it turned out to be kinda fun?
anyways here's the sketches i did for her moves-

so with that out of the way, i started with her walking animation. The programmer wanted her to be very feminine, another thing i'm...not exactly used to do? but i think she turned out ok

i'm also p happy with her running cycle. Usually i suck at them, but this one was admittedly fun.

and now we follow up with the attacks, she has only one attack since she has a special mode i'll probably show next time. Here she prepares to strike

aand that's all i've got to show for the pixel art project. Fenris high continues at a steady pace but i don't have much to show you peeps as the programmer is manily working on pathfinding for the wolves...

these are all the cases for the stalkers movement, i know it's not much to look at but this is basically how the game decides what to make the wolves do when they're chasing you , so that's quite a bit of progress XD

Hugely pumped anytime we hear from FH, game making is a HUGE task to undertake so I'm happy to see the progress even the nitty gritty ai pathing hehe

2023-09-29 10:23:03 +0000 UTCThanks I have to admit I usually can't grasp how the more general stuff works but I do appreciate understanding your process sharing have a sausage it's made especially in gaming until we feel like I'm getting a peak behind the curtain and makes me appreciate all the things that go into making a miracle so I guess in a way you've made me a better gamer because I cannot the very least appreciate the reality of what even a small development team has to go through The pc is very enticing. And we now see why it is that gaming often has a tendency to get called out on its depection of women period because you're dealing with well different sizes resolutions and what have you the draw in order to exaggerate to immediately identify is strong. And this isn't so much a criticism of what you've made. it's reminding me of stuff that's been in professional works like the notorious Sachet of same as Aaron and other m as she leaves medical in order to go do a combat fitness test (tutorial). It's remind me of simple cartoon cycle animation where in order to let you know this character is a woman she's definitely going to have hips and they are going to sway. in fact I'm remembering how the recent nostalgia critic look at Robin hood highlighted there's stuff that would seem the depth of fetish degeneration that works because, cartoon exaggeration But that was just for the walk cycle everything before that meeting think this character is cool and I want to play Her from the outfit to The Way that she's got that SWISH arc that I associate with Strider The weapon looks badass but simple but iconic and distinct even to see and know it range and effect. Moreover as you tend to prefer understandably more round and thick characters you get to show off the elegance that you can put in movement with this creation Just overall there's a lot to appreciate here in order for me to absorb as opposed to okay I get to see pieces of what I know will come together to be a pleasing hole but it's hard to get too excited about because I just can't get it together in my head And just realizing that this is what you need Just for the testing to get started let alone all that in between either what have you and/or to create that breath of life and motion into the character makes me more and all of all the work that you're doing while also handling a comic with such demands every 2 or so weeks even withThe occasional break or extension I have often said this but I still believe that you set a high standard in terms of production rate and Bang for your buck on Patriot so whatever you go for and do in terms of both crowd funding and availability to your fan base I will always know that you have put your best foot forward and always sought to enrich both yourself and work for the best. It feels wrong to think of you not as a professional animator and as such I wonder well where do you think you'll be going from here?
