more pixel art animations, wax on, wax off

alright, time for more animations for the pixel art project, this time it's a candle golem! These guys look like they would guard dark and dank castle, and you wouldn't notice it's actually a creature and not someone holding a candelabra until it gets close to you -

i had fun designing his moves, i originally wanted to give him more of a martial arts vibe, and reference some moves from king of fighters kyo, but i felt the programmer wouldn't gel well with that style so i listened to what he said and ended up with this moveset sketch:

and so i spent the last couple of days animating the second attack mode, wich felt the most complicated-

so basically the candle golem charges up his flame in this transition-

and the bigger flame's heat makes him all melty and gooey (with wax dripping down its crotch)-

finally when it's time to attack he uses his new gooey body to stretch himself and go for a fiery headbutt. I know this isn't exactly how wax works, but i mean, it's magic, right? anything goes XD
