TFS: Interlude 3 — New Times New Lives

Comments

Great chapter it’s interesting to see inquisition during their job and it makes me curious to see how imperium would react to inquisition when contact is made and how MC siblings would view group.

Mark

Oh an STC. Man, the Mechanicus will have a Toaster Month when they see this.

Pyrforos

Even the slightest scrap of information is something you can build on. When scientists know something works then they stop searching in the dark, they have a thread leading them to their goals.

She already has. We are around 815 M30 right now, so Horus must have been found already. At least if they are on the same planets.

Jajasx222

The Dereniks were like, hey! This seemed important to them, so let's show it off!

Jajasx222

Probably not the correct word choice. I edited it.

It would be dynamited. In fact, Ariana doubted much of the xeno architecture would be here in a decade. Replaced with the cleaner lines of the Federation Dynamite ? Do they even still have that in 30k plus i highly doubt their military would use dynamite they would be more likely to use some kind of det cord to just blow them off at the feet then bulldoze the rubble away.

Thank you for the chapter.

very Stargate. find some super advanced tech in a museum lol cause the locals couldn't understand it. nice. chaos has been surprisingly quite so far am guessing this might get there attention 🤔 can't let the monkeys get to advanced dont want there food source to go away.

What's the timeline looking like for when the Empress starts meeting up with her sons and daughters?

Nicholas Loeb

Even if that's a earlier model STC with a smaller and less advanced template library that still should have a great deal of useful technologies stored in it's core. Most importantly however it should have the absolute basic old terran standard of tech to start a interstellar civilization. It might even have a man of stone pattern on it. They were a common AGI around that time. Every bit of advanced tech had some form of intelligence directing it.

I think I conveyed that badly with the screams; they are not burnt alive, the screams belong to those about to get shot. The 'corrupted' get the firing squad, and then the bodies are burnt. Of course, the Inquisition goes a bit trigger-happy there; their doctrine tells them that it is better to kill more innocent xenos than let one of the corrupted go and infect the rest. As long as that doctrine is not applied in humans, Alexander turns a blind eye.

I kinda expected him to do better than the "Burn them on the pyre alive! approach. Just shoot them and be done with it, no need to do... that.
