Perhaps some lies are being told, or I am woefully confused hahaha. <b>Gargantuan</b> : "Ho ho, old Sir Wolf, so deliciously <i>round and soft</i> around his middle. The kind of trophy one can only gains after a lifetime of slaying as many <i>banquets</i> as foes on the battlefield. This greedy guts doesn't even need our help to make it fatter, but to think how much larger we <b>will</b> cultivate it... Hnng, I must grope it." (1 of 3) Lines 1 and 7 feel like they are functionally similar. The clearest part of the prophecy is that either Wolf will kill Cherry or Cherry will kill Wolf. However, it’s worth noting that line 8 says that one of them only has to die, not necessarily be killed, in order for the new age to come. Likely, this is the point of the loop that binds the arbiters here. Having one of them die without being murdered isn’t a solution, if we care about breaking the prophecy. I’m tempted to say a lot of the rest of this is a preview of the overall plot. Line 2 is what Episode 1 has been; Wolf, the blessed flagellant, is overprotective of Cherry, the desert flower, to the point of being overbearing and restrictive.

I don't know what to do as my star. Nothing needs to be blown up as far as I can see, besides Wolf's ass. So, I decided to take a crack at that prophecy for a moment, and try an interpretation. I'm definitely wrong, but I'm wondering if anyone has a better idea of things. I'd post the whole thing in one shot, but it's too long, so I'll just break it up into replies to this post.

I want the "good ending" as well, but this time "good" seems to be less black and white than former stories (not that in previous stories it was obvious anyways). I was wonderind if the heat isn't a bad thing as well since it comes from planet and Love god themselves... At the same time the devil guy doesn't seem to be a niceguy(TM) though and he seems to be related to the heat so I can't totally consider it a good thing... The only thing I know for sure now is that the prophecy seems to be a (future) problem to Wolf and Cherry so maybe we should be careful on how to handle it.

But they can be healed. I understand if it's hard for you to open up about your feelings of the past, but it's OK. What a way to start the New Year for Hero's Heart. So much juicy details about everything. The lore, the Arbiters, the prophecy, what's happening to Wolf and the others... I gotta say, of the three Arbiters, The Grand Wizard is my favorite. A very serious, yet unashamed and "go-with-the-flow" kind of guy, so long as he deems it necessary. I also like how Master Alchemist is friendly looking, yet he's the one with the strictest standards for himself. And the Archdruid seems like he's all about fun and self-indulgence. He's also the friendliest out of all of them~ All in all, very colorful Arbiters, pun intended. I'm very willing to help them break out of the world so they can go to other stories! The prophecy... It's an interesting bit. With the world stagnant, the prophecy seems to dictate change, and yet the gods have deemed fit to keep the status quo. It seems that the prophecy keeps the heroic fantasy cycle in tact, even as the world craves for it to change. All these lore and info is so good you two! Great job and again, a banger of a start to the New Year for this series!

Ah damn this is a lot to unpack! So these three are bound to THIS meta, but know about our ability to move between them... I am starting to guess their motives here, and they have spelled it out. If the prophecy is dealt with, they can leave. But earlier two of them seemed to accept the nature of the Prophecy... are they fatalistic? And how many times has this story repeated itself before? I wonder if Cherry's Dad's death is connected to an earlier rendition of the prophecy. They certainly mention watching the timeline repeatedly, but they clearly don't know about Wolf and Cherry's specific personalities. If i were to guess, then, they explained it earlier. The same story replays itself multiple times, but each time with different actors. The end result, until this point, has been identical. Interesting re Cherry and the fact that they say he can't ascend, because he hasn't. They seem to be in a weird state of both past and future- I wonder if to them things that have or haven't happened to the meta will always have occurred or not occurred. An obsession with knowing the result of an action before it even occurred. It fits with their fatalism. Zenion's fall- it is interesting that they say that the Heat is the 'world' that wants to overthrow the Gods- but Kurt before noted that even the plants will try and oppose the Heat. Is it that the Gods have fundamentally warped almost all living things to their service? I wonder on that one. Certainly, interesting that it is connected to both Stain and Ruin- suggesting there are forces at work to make even ordinary people try and overthrow the Gods. And that prophecy... we have their word though. Even Wolf's ability to tell the future can be changed. I think the prophecied fate can be changed, just like the visions. Whether they believe that is possible or not... harder to tell. Kurt actually loves his brother... I love he so much.
