fenris high devlog update 7
Added 2019-12-21 23:08:42 +0000 UTChey peeps! just a few things to show you this week, but they are quite significant! first of all i can finally reveal the name of my programmer! it's the super talented Bananainquiry ! ( you can check his work on furaffinity , here : https://www.furaffinity.net/user/bananainquiry/ )
he is super fast, draws some pretty sexy stuff and has been a delight to work with! go give him some love, he really deserves it!
now, i've been quite busy this week so all i could manage to do was complete fatso jones' walk cycle:
but i could only do this because i helped bananainquiry finishing the graphics for the fenris high character creator! It's not in its final, final form, but as you can see now it works properly:
i've attached the program to this post, so you guys can all try it and tell us what do you think you'd like to see in it!
and that's all for this week, and i think all for this year, i think i'll make a proper post before i take a break for the holydays, in the meantime have a good one pups, and stay wild! awooo!!!

The only thing is that I got absolutely lost on the Face Types, especially because the faces only get slightly different on each cycle, genuinely thought I was going crazy for a moment. I would suggest that either they be grouped together based on the face similarities, instead of the emotion they are conveying, or that you put a number or other kind of indicator to say where on the list the player is. But besides that, everything else is great!

I love the character creator, its got more options than some AAA games I could name! It does go a bit crazy when you try and run it in full-screen though (default window works fine) 👍 Hope you have a great Christmas, Mr. Cheeks. 🎄

Seems like the code to determine which color you select is off by a pixel, which causes he game to ask for a variable that doesn’t exist yet. Easy enough to fix, but very had to spot. Well done!

This thing is by no means final, but I should have caught the stuff you mentioned anyway. Thanks so much for the help!

2019-12-22 00:36:25 +0000 UTCThe character creator looks really cool. Weird thing is that the buttons kinda seem to be in the wrong place though. By that I mean the head shape option actually changes the body shape and the face shape seems to change the head shape. and trying to change certain skin and eye colors trigger a weird error that make me have to abort and close the charactor creator. It is a WIP I know but thought I'd let you know, all and all though its really neat and its cool we can make or own character to be in the game. :3

2019-12-21 23:44:56 +0000 UTCThe character creator looks pretty cool but after testing it I have a few problems, the active points are very wonky, where I was clicking on the first (the higher) selection options but nothing was happening, and then the lower ones were doing what the ones right above were supposed to, and worst of all the color options have a parts that can cause the whole thing to crash, the top-most color options of each set can cause such. and in regards to face type and head shape, I think they could be shrunk to just "head type" since very little seemed to change individually with them, but again overall the character creator is solid.
