fenris high devlog update 1

we're back with a bit of fenris high devlog. We encountered a bit of a snatch last week that we're still working on ( we thought we could draw everything in 2d and create assets for every single permutation and configuration of rooms , corridors props and whatnot. Ultimately we decided it would be less insane to just use the game engine to calculate some stuff for us so i don't have to go crazy drawing every single object in tons of positions XD)

so while we're restructuring things a bit i'll show you a neat thing about the dorms; namely the doors of each of your friends.

let's start with dave's door. Gaudy , colorful and full of shit, kind of like how he is.

George's door is full of witchy and cutesy stuff. He's definitely a soft, gentle boi.

jeff's door is full of warning signs and pamphlets for his conspirations and cryptid hunting zines. He has people telling him via radio when someone of the staff is coming to the dorm so he can remove the stuff and not get suspended, for stealing signs and police tape, of course.

Ryan's door is immaculate and... waxed to a shine? who the heck waxes their dorm room?

matt being the jock he is has his door decorated with all sorts of memorabilia from the

university football team, the fenris lambs. And a big golden M because you can't contain

that meathead's ego.


also, wanted to show you an updated version of your adversaries, the pack of werewolf jack.

fatso jones and hunky dave are pretty similar to the images i already drew of them, but i had

to streamline a bit dave's design because i can't really animate a brocade dressing gown 

reliably XD. Stinky sam is now green, to differentiate his color scheme (lots of dog breeds with brown and cream colors in the world! ) and to reference that neat fact about sloths being so slow moss grow on them and tinge their fur a greenish color.

above stinky sam we have tattoo bob, who got a big overhaul from the version i already drew. The programmer suggested maybe it was better for him to be a different dog species,maybe something with shorter fur to show off his tattoo, and suggested a great dane. I think it works and makes him different from the others too, altho i didn't mind his porevious design either.

the pudgy doggo with the fur coat is pimp harry; fancies himself of noble origin and will DEMAND you prostrate at his feet, something that with his pheromones in the air you'll probably feel inclined to. And last on the right is mad phil, a barely restrained ball of rage with a penchant for wrestling and playing with fire.

That's it for this update! we're still building up the basics for the game, so forgive me if there's not anything super flashy to show  yet! after all with zap & andy i started showing off things after a while i was working on it so that's kind of expected.

I am really excited for this! However, now I have to avoid 2 sets of updates for two games from you I really look forward to, but would rather not spoil!

Tattoo Bob seems to be the type to easily get along with maybe Stinky Sam too if you've loss your sense of smell. Curious if their personalities have also changed, not just their design, since their conception? Finally got to see the designs of the last two sins/pack members was wondering which dog breeds you'll use. Had assumed a Pit Bull would've use for Mad Phil's design similar to Fortis from MS.

Yay!!! I love all of these guys- Pimp Harry has to be my fav of the new ones, but Fatso Jones sits up there as my favourite overall for sure
