Claire Redfield "Desire Selfie" Release

Something to remember her by

Hey all :) Hope you've been doing well!

Today I have for you a Claire Redfield pinup that I'm really happy with. I decided to go with Claire in light of OG RE2 and RE2R recently celebrating their North American release date anniversaries (Jan. 21st, 1998, and Jan. 25th, 2019, respectively). I was originally hoping to have this out to you all a bit sooner, but I unfortunately ran into some delays. First, I got hit by some severe cold weather and snow that messed with my schedule and disrupted my free time (as I mentioned might happen in the previous update post). Then, when working on this project, the initial render had some quality issues I noticed when zooming in during post — which I fixed, of course. But the scope of the fixes required editing the .blend and re-rendering (not just things I could touch up in post), so that also delayed me getting this render out.

Anyway!

Moving onto the render itself, not a ton to say. You have a fairly straightforward window-lit portrait. But I still find it to be very striking, especially due to the lighting. If you're curious about the title and not familiar with my previous works, I've made two prior renders featuring Claire in this environment, wearing the white lace and choker outfit (Desire and Morning). When I made the very first render, Desire, I didn't set out with the intention of it being a series or anything, it just kinda happened. I really like this particular setup/concept, and thought it would work great with the pose idea. I hope you agree!

As for post-processing, similar to the recent Christmas/Holiday 2024 render, this render comes in just the one "hybrid" style, blending together elements of my "soft," "sharp," and "stylized color grading" styles. I can't say whether this post-processing approach will be the trend going forward, but I do enjoy the result of taking the things I like most about each of the different post-processing looks and combining them.

As for what's next, I'll be posting a refreshed link to the watermark-free MEGA archive on Saturday, Feb. 1st, and then go from there depending on my schedule, free time, health, and the weather, etc.
