Hello tinies! Some news:
Apple is requiring Patreon to switch to their iOS in-app purchase system starting this November 2024, or risk being removed from the App Store. Here’s what’s coming, and what you can do about it.

New purchases, including new subscriptions and digital products made in the Patreon app for iOS, will be subject to Apple’s 30% App Store commission.
This commission will not apply to existing subscriptions or those purchased on other platforms.
What does this mean?
New subscribers: Starting in November 4, Gigantosteps will move to a monthly subscription model, with the charge occurring on the same day you subscribe instead of the 1st of every month. Your subscription will renew on the same day you subscribed. For example: If you subscribe on November 6th, the next charge will be on December 6th, instead of December 1st.
If you subscribe through the Patreon app on an iPad, iPhone, or iOS, the price will increase to account for Apple’s iOS in-app purchase system fee.
The suggestion to avoid this fee is to subscribe via the web browser and directly from the Patreon website without going through the iPhone or iPad app.
What should you do?
Get informed!
If you continue with your subscription without canceling it (which both I and the giants would greatly appreciate), it will be charged as usual on the 1st of each month, without any increase.
If you cancel and wish to resubscribe in November, the charge will be on the day you resubscribe, with the renewal on the same day of the following month. If you subscribe through the app, the Apple fee will apply, but if you do so via the web browser or another platform, it will not.
Apologies if this is bad news or if you regularly use the iPhone app, but it is beyond my control.
