February's Notice

*Due to the large capacity, the scene characters were replaced with Chika :( Another month has passed, and here is the first notice for 2025. Only one work was uploaded this month. However, it took quite a while to produce it, and I am quite satisfied with the result, so you can see me proud after a long time. Here are the main goals for February: 1. About the HP bar The HP (or stamina) interface that I presented this time was a long-time dream of mine, and fortunately, it received a lot of favorable reviews. To do that, I filmed actual Genshin gameplay videos, observed the battle UI and how stamina decreases, depicted the characters as bosses as much as possible, and thought about how the UI could follow the changing camera angles. If you are satisfied, then that is my joy. However, since it is the first system I have introduced, I still have a lot of concerns about it. First is the work time. Compared to this time, which took up 30-40% of the 10 days, it will be reduced a little from now on, but I felt that adding the HP bar was quite a lot of work. With only a month left until the start of the semester, if I don't find a way to fix this, it will become an unsustainable idea. The second is the story of when the length of the video is shortened. If I just shorten the time with the current configuration, the characters' health will decrease relatively quickly, and it will feel like they cum too quickly. I don't particularly prefer it, but I am considering a method to leave a certain percentage of HP empty from the beginning when necessary. The last is the camera movement. If you do a continuous camera movement instead of a one-time scene change like this, it is impossible for the changing HP UI to follow it. More specifically, other than the positioning that is close to hard labor, there is no way to do this easily with the functions of Koikatsu that I currently know. This is a stumbling block for me who wants to create more vivid animations. Of course, this problem could be solved if I use an external video editing program. However, if I can't put everything I show into the scene file, there is no reason for you to buy the scene instead of just watching the free video. Yes, the introduction of the new system has brought about many new concerns. Therefore, this month's works will be an effort to solve these concerns. 2. About Genshin Impact There are currently five characters under consideration - [Mavuika / Citlali / Hu Tao / Lan Yan / Mizuki], and the battle topics for each have also been roughly decided by considering their characteristics. As you can see, they are characters that have appeared in recent or upcoming gachas and events and have been loved. This is an experimental attempt based on the judgment that trends or fads cannot be ignored in the performance of works these days. Of course, this does not mean that I do not like them. However, if this strategy is judged to be ineffective for me, I will once again prioritize my tastes in future character selections. Characters with sufficient charm and unique personalities that provide me with distinct ideas will be chosen. And as I said, for the time being, the female traveler, Lumine, will be competing against each of them. The traveler has a sensitive body and therefore seems quite weak in this area, but of course that does not mean that she will always lose. There are many different types of women in Teyvat, so wouldn't it be possible for something to go wrong sometimes? I'll cover the confrontations between women from all over Teyvat after I've given her enough combat experience. So for now, you can think of this as a series. This notice is quite long... You don't have to read it. I just hope you enjoy my future works!

I enjoyed the presence of the HP bar, but if it's proving to be an enormous amount of extra work for you, I don't mind you focusing on the character animations instead. Though overall, as long as you're focusing on what's enjoyable for you, then even if it's a lot of work hopefully that'll mean at least a personal payoff for yourself. That extends to characters as well, as long as they're girls you like working with then it'll turn out well (and we can always just swap in other characters ourselves in the scene file!).

Good point. I often think that way when I see the results. In particular, with the introduction of the HP system, it is true that the information that needs to be checked in a limited time has increased due to the addition of stamina changes in addition to movements and facial expression changes. However, I would like to inform you that if the playback time for each part is increased, the scene capacity will increase, my work time will increase too, and it will also be difficult to produce Ugoira, which requires selecting only a short part of the whole. As a result, your point is very helpful. However, the direction seems to be towards simplifying the facial expression changes themselves rather than providing more time for the current information interpretation. Thank you for your help :)

A little suggestion Is the facial expression changing too quickly? I feel it's quite abrupt (My English is not good, so I used translation software, sorry)
