Orange is the national color of the Netherlands and civilians would put orange flags outside their windows to indicate to the allied troops that they were there. Just like "The Longest Day" serves as a longer version of the events in episode 2; 1977's "A Bridge Too Far" is a 3hr deep-dive into Operation Market Garden with another all-star cast and taking a look at the event from both sides. It was a bold plan and this episode only shows the small portion that Easy Company was involved in.
