Quick Update
Added 2025-08-02 17:25:32 +0000 UTCHowdy y'all, it's the week before Sizecon Micro!
And again, I don't have too much of an update this week. I got all seven pages of my ongoing "Maxwell and the Alternomicon" comic for my 5$ patrons. But for everyone else- it was another empty week. I took a few days off of work to go to a Fet Weekend on the mainland, hoping it would be a good networking thing. It wasn't like- super great for art- but I had a good time. But it meant that all my time went into comic stuff.
With Sizecon Micro around the corner (August 8th) I was in crunch mode trying to get my Balloon Clicker game into a presentable fashion. Which, is impossible with my current skill level. I've never used Godot before July- and while I got the bare minimum working for the clicker game itself- I've realized that I was trying to make what is essentially two or three games in one. (Clicker Game, Dating Sim, and Tycoon) Even if they're all relatively simple- is outside of my skill set right now. I've decided, to shelve the project for now. I tried to pick a tiny game idea to learn with, and still was a tiny bit too ambitious.
That said, I'm not giving up on Game Development- not by a long shot. I still want to dive back into making visual novels for my community as well as keep pursuing one of my dream ambitions. Video games. I'm brainstorming how I want to go about it next- I'm thinking of making like, a list of 100 tiny games I could make. Stuff as simple as "jump over the barrel" or "click these boxes in order". So I can learn more fundamentals of Godot and game logic. I'll figure out some kind of sensible work flow-
Oh, and last update. I'll be opening Commissions next week! Mostly likely the 11th or even during Sizecon Micro!
Thanks for all the support peeps~! I appreciate you all!
((Oh, and last tiny update- I am fully in support of the mass call ins and letter writings to payment processors. And I encourage people to do some research and find out how you can help contribute to making our voices heard against internet payment processor driven censorship))
