Understanding 0.3

Hello everyone,

I'll give some examples of what will change in 0.3 to help you report issues in "Report Inconsistencies & Issues [0.3]".

It's not a list of everything that will be changed, some of these new additions might change again a little before the release.


Gameplay changes:

Mood removed. It was causing more problems than benefits. It will be replaced by another system that will only affect dialogues.

NPCs location. You'll be able to see where the NPCs are on the yacht. Still not sure if it always be turned on or not. It will mostly help the player remember some previous choices. For example, if you stole Chloe's homework, at 3p.m. Rachel and Chloe will be located in the interior and the player will notice that it is unusual.

New stamina.  Stamina will determine the number of times the MC can cum in a day. It will start at 1 and can increase up to 5 (might change). Doing yoga with Rachel and swimming will increase it. The game will also track a few info on who made the MC cum and how many times today to add some dialogues during some event.

Punishment handler.  Basically, it will make all the spanking content more realistic (to a certain extent). This one is a lot of work, I don't want to say too much about it in case I can't do everything in time. It should make the NPCs keep their spanking marks a little time, up to a full day. If Chloe has been spanked by the MC and has marks, she'll try to hide them from Rachel. All NPCs will only take a limited amount of spanking per day depending on the severity of the punishment. 

Help window. During some of the first actions of the player, I'll add some help window to help him understand the game mechanics. Example: If you want to wake up at 6a.m., you have to go to bed at 10p.m.  Or when you "distracted" Emily or Chloe for the first time. And more.


Event improvement example:

Let's take the "Stealing Homework", one of the early events (you can do it day 1).

There won't be a cooldown on the event. You'll be able to steal them every day Chloe should study but something new will happen if you do it too often, that will be used as  a "cooldown" (I don't want to spoil ;p).

If the MC keep watching Chloe getting spanked, Rachel will start to be annoyed and will do something.

During the hairbrush spanking, sometimes Emily is here, there will be more dialogues around this scene. Emily will also mocks Chloe afterwards, maybe when Chloe is sunbathing at 6p.m. with a red butt.


I'll stop here for the moment, I think it helps you see what I want to do with the next update. 

Do not hesitate to report anything you think should be fixed / rewrite / added.

First "show tits" star can be unlocked when Chloe use the hot tub. Some of the changes might seem unnecessary but it won't be in the long run. As a matter of fact, it's directly linked to your request for more "forks" in small events. If you found the mood system good, there's no reason you won't like what's replacing it, well, I hope.

I really like the level of polish in your game. So I hope you don't get suck up too much on unescessary changes (like location markers for npcs). To be honest, yours is the first game that got me more interested in the game BECAUSE I had to discover and remember their schedule. From what I've seen, you're very capable, so I trust you know whats necessary for the long run. As a player I would appreciate more little forks in small events (e.g Chloe -> show tits -> now show butt) instead of major overhauls in the mood system (that I found awesome). And while I'm here, would you be kind to tell me how/when to get the first show tits star?

I like the idea of using Stamina for other actions too

You can maintain the current stamina system in order to use it not only sexually oriented but as also measurement of physical actions taken per day. For example, If the MC had to clean the deck for a day as Chores ,and that means 3 hours of somatic labor, he may also feel tried to do sex as many times as before. Instead of change the system ,use as fatigue percentage (%) cost in every physical action. I also agree to the number of ejaculations as actions per day.You cant satisfy them all, eventually you have to choose. The Most IMPORTANT PART.DO NOT forget make as previous saves of 0.2 version, compatible.

Part of it, will be something like that, but I need to find a good balance.

Regarding punishment handler, I think it could be maybe a good idea if any char reaching his/her limit in daily spanking was forced to "behave" - so have no other option than do chores, refusing "distraction" from MC or could not enter without knocking, no peeking and so on. What do you think?

Looks very promissing, just have mixed fillings about 2 ideas: 1. Mood - current system added realism to game (as in RL mood impacts behaviour) with new hints system with 0.1 it was easier to find out what is necessary (just some stars lacked the hint - like night visit which was depending on mood too). Annoying was mood management as except Rachel we have no easy way to reduce mood of other NPC - maybe just adding such options would be enough 2. New stamina - I think that current system could be better as it adds variety of decisions as different activites are differently "weighted"

It will be only dialogues changes for the moment, maybe more for later but it would be too ambitious for 0.3 ;)

Punishment handler will be a huge quality leap. And any additional help in the help window can benefit new players in their early stages. About events improvements, we'll see. Or not, because if you improve "old" events and we don't want to start the game anew (I think it's something like 6-8 hours of game play already), we'll never see the improvement. But I don't want to sound selfish, you must also take care of the newcomers. You're thinking big anyway. Congratulations and good luck !

It will most likely be only on the events the MC influenced. If you asked Emily to be near the Jacuzzi at midnight then it will probably show you that she's waiting there. It's a work in progress, so I can't be too specific on it for the moment.

About NPC location, I'm really not sure. It's part of the game to find the NPC to interact with them. What if they hide ? How about secret meetings ? That won't be possible anymore. It will be tricky also with the location as they are now. When a girl is in her room, will you show her icon in the corridor window, then on her door ? I would be really sorry if you were to follow "Waterworld" example : you go to the main screen were all the decks are on show, you see were are all the girls and on top of that you have colored icons to see what you can do with them. You don't even need to think about the story anymore, just follow the lights... :-(

Wow, that's a lot of changes. About Mood, it's true that it could be frustrating to miss the star because the mood was not correct and you didn't know. Nonetheless, I think that the way MC behaves with the girls should have an impact on the game (if he is caring, they should be more willing to do things)(if he doesn't pay attention to them at all, why should they bother, like in real life).
