The start of the second date
Added 2024-06-16 15:33:09 +0000 UTC<3 <3 <3 Ahhh.... a FULL COLOR mini comic for you guys! These are rare, as they take up a lot more time... but it's your lucky day because I am bound and determined to learn/grow and experiment with Clip studio and my new tablet. This was a little exercise in changing up my panel format to be less boxy and more of a true scrolling style. TLLT is considered scrolling because it reads top to bottom, but it's not very... hmm.... creative? As far as panels go. Certainly something I'd like to get better at for my next comic...
Anyway, this little airport scene takes place after that text conversation that Jaxsen and Kinley had here. It's the start of that "second" date Kinley promised Jax. <3
I think at this point in Kinley's post-TLLT story... he's probably been going to therapy for a little while, talking to Jaxsen regularly for a while, and is now absolutely fucking TERRIFIED of the feelings that are creeping in. Terrified of the butterflies and the way his heart skips a beat when Jaxsen says his name <3 Terrified of falling... Terrified that this is all too good to be true, maybe.
I'd love to know what you guys think of this mini comic! Do you like the aesthetic? Is there anything weird or not working about it?

2024-06-27 15:03:05 +0000 UTCOoh, I really like the way this flows and looks like itโs all part of one piece (the sky at the very top and at the very bottom, even with the full panels in the center, it feels like a flowing, connected, single piece). Also, this got me teary. ๐ฅฒ Kin and Jax are so sweet, and watching Kinley fighting not to just explode/breakdown is so preciousโฆ I love how excited Jaxsen is! Heโs so lovely~
