Over the past few days, I've been focusing on the script and continuing with the basement scenes. I've also started correcting the script for the rest of the game. I do this when I'm close to writing the most critical part of an update's script.
Starting with the latter. By reviewing the game, I mean playing it through the entire thing to correct misspelled code and spelling mistakes... Yes, I still find quite a few spelling mistakes. I did this a few months ago, and I had left an Excel summary of what each character knew, but I can't find that file, so I have to do it again. This includes everything related to the story and the characters' own lives to avoid inconsistencies. For example, their work schedules, the addresses where they live, and their habits. In the case of this update, Isa's habit of going to the Red Light District was something she had already mentioned in the previous update and couldn't remember, so the dialogue will have to be adjusted so that this isn't something new but something the MC already knew.
Regarding the script in general, I won't continue until I finish the revisions due to the importance of what will be discussed on the island. The script is written until the beginning of Saturday, when the MC meets with Mrs. Bellmere. But to avoid errors, I want to finish the corrections first: it will be finished in two or three days. After that, I'll continue ordering renders and editing Saturday's animations.
Regarding the basement scene, the first animation is finished, as are the previous close-ups. Next up will be some close-ups for the movement to the next animation and the second animation itself, with the prisoner, Mrs. Bellmere, and Mrs. Zarcoty. This will be Mrs. Zarcoty's last animation in the update and in the following days.
Regarding the animation itself, it was more complicated than usual. In addition to the significant amount of time required to render due to the lighting, there was another problem. The animation involved whipping the prisoner, who was hanging from bars and bound with chains. To make this realistic, I had to make the whip, Mrs. Zarcorty, and the prisoner move in sync. This is simple; I've done it many times. But the prisoner's movement also involves the movement of the chains. And creating an inertial animation of chains is... complicated. I couldn't make it look realistic, so I opted for an alternative: I slightly lengthened the animation frame rate and split it in two to hide the chains' out-of-sync behavior, using a camera trick.
In the next week, I'll finish the corrections and continue writing Saturday's script. I'll also move on to animating the final basement scene and the scene that concludes the island phase.
Regarding Love in Futa Time 2:
The editing of this last chapter still in progress.
