Elven Blood Blade: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This is the 3rd submitted item this week, and this the second HP regenerating sword that was voted in! Luckily it took another path as a unique take, and I think we nailed it in balancing.

Submitted by a regular on these items Kronos001, the name is unchanged. The Elven Blood Blade, with a regain to HP not limited to Crits or Killing. That was a challenge, and I put it up to the Discord Smiter’s to take a crack at it. What we came up with, is what you see above. Balancing a constant tick HP regain for strikers, with a spell casting option for other classes.

The blade art itself, I wanted a twisted elf - something between a demon, vampire, and aberration, and thusly this came to be. I tend to do Elven art more along the lines of LOTR, or Oblivion with a lot of curves and gold, this I purposefully chose harsher straight lines with a sleek but harsh appearance.

Updates: Grammar check, and some overlay adjust for the hilt to draw out the shapes.

Description:

This strange blade holds a history tied to blood days and corrupted ancestors that is best forgotten. This relic is one of the few that remain as a dark chronicle of that time. Its twisted visage is enough to bring chills to the spine of any breathing creature. Elves particularly feel a hesitance around this blade, as it harkens back to a lost and dark… but familiar power.

Tabs:

• The user gains +2 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon.
• Those of Elven Lineage gain proficiency in this weapon when wielding it.
• This weapon holds a number of charges equal to the Half of User's Proficiency Bonus. It regains all expended charges at Dusk. These charges can be used in the following ways.
  • Ever Hunger: 1 Charge - As a Bonus Action, the user can activate the blade. Over the next 1 Minute, the user regains 2 Hit Points whenever they successfully deal Damage to a Hostile Creature with this blade.
• Forgotten Thirst: 1 Charge - As an Action, the user can cast Vampiric Touch spell, from the sword. While active, the user can make a Melee Attack with the sword (as an Action) in place of a Spell Attack.
