Demon's Tooth: One-Sided.

1st of the submitted items for this week!

Originally this was submitted by ‘Kamehameyaa’ this concept had some very rich flavoring, as a Very Rare item. It took a bit of chiseling but with simplifying the curse and working the features back from an artifact, we now have a pretty unique and rather strong sword!

It does unleash some nova potential, but mostly in late stage game play with a limited resource versus say a consistent effect or an AoE like Meteor storm. It still might have a few tweaks, as I added in feature as well to boost up the separated Rotten Ire.

If you have any suggestions or thoughts, or see any language that needs editing let me know! I definitely like group approaches to these, and if you have an idea check out the submittal form!

Description:

This blade appears to be formed of obsidian into razor sharp edges, tapering to a fine point from a wide base. The grip consists of a black leather bound around the stone under a hammered iron cross guard that pierces the stone. Near the base, there is a smattering of small blue orbs that seem to open and close into the stone without rhyme or reason. The pommel of the blade holds runes of a long forgotten origin, with a soft pulsing glow that seems to ebb with the crystals sprouting from it.

Tabs:

• The user gains +2 bonus to Attack Rolls made with this weapon.
• This weapon holds a number of charges equal to the User's Proficiency Bonus. It regains all expended charges at Dawn. These charges can be used in the following ways.
• Subjugation: 1 Charge - As part of an Attack Action, the user is able to add 2d6 + Charisma Modifier (Minimum of 1) in Necrotic damage for all attacks that turn. The user is able to expel multiple charges at once, increasing the damage by 1d6 per charge expelled.
  • On a Critical Hit, the Necrotic damage dealt on that attack is regained as Hit Points by the user.
• Rotten Ire: 1 Charge - As a Bonus Action, the user is able to increase the Reach of this weapon by 5ft until the start of their Next Turn. Any creature struck by this weapon while this feature is active has their Movement Speed Halved.
• Cursed: While attuned to this weapon the user is unwilling to part with this sword. If the user has not used the sword against a Creature within a 24 Hour Period, during their rest the user can hear indecipherable whispers in Abyssal from the sword. They must make a DC:16 Constitution saving throw or suffer a point of Exhaustion.
