Helm of the Blighted Legion: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

I promised two helmets, and I delivered. It’s always interesting to craft the art at the same time as the story of an item. Normally one comes before the other but these two shaped each other.

Made for Rare, but with the ability to grow with the user. A twist on two features of two recognizable classes but made unique in activation and specifics. I hope this finds a small niche at your table!

Description:

These helms were worn by a mighty few who plunged a weapon into the unspeakable. As the story goes, a legion of brave souls under the command of Alastor the Fated rode to face a dire evil. Whatever happened upon this journey and its conclusion twisted and broke countless and burdened those who managed to return until the end of their days. Of those original few that had seen the heart of the Far Reaches, these relics remain. Having brushed against corruption, they returned resilient enough to have survived in spite of their adversities.

• -  While worn, the user gains an additional +1 to AC.
• - This helmet holds a number of charges equal to the User's Proficiency Bonus, it regains all expended charges at Dawn. These charges can be used in the following ways.
• - From the Brink: 1 Charge - As a Reaction, when making a Saving throw. The user can add 1d6 to the results, possibly changing the outcome.
• - Blighted Sense: 1 Charge - As a Bonus Action, the user can share their awareness with the helm, reaching out with new senses. For 1 Minute, the user knows the location of an Aberration or Undead within 60ft of them that is not behind total cover. They learn the type of any being whose presence they sense, but not their identity.
