Upload Mistake

Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I just realized that there is a bit of a mistake in the last 3-4 chapters that were uploaded. I uploaded the original version of the chapters and did not update them before they got posted.

For the most part, the chapter content stays the same, but there are some minor details in each that I had wanted to add for what is happening in the world. And quite a bit did begin to move forward in the world in that week that Alex was gone (if you read Berserker, then you know what I'm referring to).

The other crucial thing that I didn't add was him receiving his Personal Quest reward for "Survive" from the Epic Rift! How I missed that in the original version, I still don't know!

So, it's really just a few paragraphs here and there in these chapters. I'll be updating them right now and making sure that it notifies members on which chapters are being updated. I'll also make sure that the chapters for next week are fixed and uploaded with the proper versions!

I sincerely apologize for the confusion. I want to try to keep the reading experience smooth for those of you who are here supporting the story!!

What was changed summary:

1. Alex received a Mana Pearl (Material) item from his Rift quest reward in the Epic Rift that was "Survive". It is just a material, not an item or consumable. Here is the item description:

D Rank Item - Luminescent Mana Pearl
Rarity: Rare
Type: Material

He then puts it in a spatial bag to keep it away from Val and gets brought back up in early Book 2.

2. There are some world events that were added. Most notably:

• When Alex gets back into his car to drive home from the Rift, he hears the radio stations talking about a streamer hyping up an event where they plan to enter a Rift on live stream. (I make some not-so-subtle jabs at the hype and promotions that happened with the Jake Paul vs. Tyson fight).

• It's also mentioned again briefly in the Awakening Event Chapter and is mentioned that the social media influencer hosting the event has some sort of cutting edge technology or skill to allow tech to work in the Rift.

• The verbiage is changed a bit on Alex's text conversation with his mom, but they just make sure to invite him to dinner, that hasn't really changed.
