Back at the Ranch

Beauregard and Jessie were strong, squared jawed, virile… married, but Lindsey was an embarrassment to the oil magnate. He’d had enough of his effete son enjoying mint julips on the veranda, and the sniggers from the members of the Barrington Club who’d taken to calling him ‘Lindsey Belle’.
Enough was enough. “That boy needs to get his hands dirty and work with some real men,” Tex would growl. The decision was made. Lindsey would spend the summer at the ranch working with some of Tex’s roughest, toughest ranch hands.
“That’ll make a man of him,” thought Tex.
Maybe it would – but Calhoon didn’t expect Lindsey to take to the life of a rancher quite so willingly.
