Some patreon updates + upcoming commission slots info

Hi dearest patrons!

I wanted to give an update on the state of things with my patreon—warning, this post got a bit long! I’m going to address some things that will affect your pledge PRETTY minimally in the grand scheme of things, but I want to be as transparent as possible just in case!

SALES TAX

I mentioned this in a post last month, but July is almost upon us and so, sales tax charges may happen for you starting on the 1st. I’ve done my best to adjust the settings in each tier so that if you’re taxed, it will be as accurately and minimally as possible for the rewards you’re getting. Some patrons are already paying taxes on their pledges and shouldn’t see a change (i.e. many EU patrons), some will see a bit of a bump-up on your charge because of where you live (US patrons, depending on the state’s sales tax policies, and several countries including Australia) and some patrons may not have any change at all. Ultimately, for most patrons, the impact to your pledge amount will be minimal.

TIER ADJUSTMENTS

Very very little has changed in how I'll actually post art here, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up on some tiny changes I've made to tiers. The things I changed are:

• NSFW timelapse videos: I’ve decided to put less priority on creating at least one monthly nsfw timelapse video for y’all in the $10 tier, so I’ve changed wording on that to “occasional”. Over the past several months I’ve come to the conclusion that NSFW timelapse videos aren’t the hugest draw for that tier anyway, and with the immense amount of troubles I’ve been having with nsfw videos getting removed from youtube because of community guidelines violations (regardless of whether I censor them), I don't want to promise that as a consistent reward anymore. Which brings us to!:
• SFW timelapse videos! I've added this across all tiers, so I'll try to upload at least one SFW timelapse video for all patrons every month. (I'm going to post one later today!)
• NSFW patreon exclusives: I've changed the wording for the $5 and $10 NSFW tiers to include "at least 2 Patreon-exclusive NSFW art posts per month" (formerly it said one per month) to more accurately reflect how I already post art here. You may have noticed that a portion of art I post on patreon never makes it to twitter, so I thought I'd depict that more accurately in the tier description. So this means that the monthly patron art that wins the nsfw poll + at least one other art will be exclusively locked to patrons in these tiers.

COMMISSIONS

I know some of you are interested in a commission when I open them next, so please read this carefully!

I plan to open another batch of commissions for the $10 tier on Monday June 29 at 7PM EST. If you want a commission from me, you'll need to be a member of that tier. I will reserve 5 slots, and beyond those 5 slots, I'll add a waitlist. The 5 slots will be guaranteed, but after that, the waitlist won't necessarily be guaranteed to get a commission at this point in time (I'll do my best though!). If you want a refresher on my commission prices/policies, please see this post (locked to $10 tier)! I've updated the text of the post to reflect what will happen next Monday. FYI: I will work through comms somewhat slowly so I can balance all the other patreon work I do. Thank you for understanding!

CUPID FANTASY

What I initially wanted to be a quick, simple, low-cost, one-off print job so Incubus Fantasy could have a physical companion booklet for patrons who wanted it has...turned into a horrible months-long back and forth ordeal. Between my printer being closed for more than a month, a printer tech that never came to help them diagnose a printing quality issue, and mail delays, it's months later and we're on our third proof.... 😭 I'm hoping third time's the charm and when I get the proof I can finally give them the go-ahead to print the whole run. /o\ Maybe by August I'll finally have my valentine's booklet in hand...:'(

POSTCARDS!

These will go in the mail for June $10 patrons next week! :D
