You got $20 a day! I only got 15 for my jury duty.

2024-07-07 00:24:04 +0000 UTCYes you get paid for jury duty. But it's a pittance. Not even just for the big shot ceo, but even for the woman that worked in a restaurant. The one jury duty I finally got called for, had to take the whole day off work, and it paid $20. I was doing alright so it wasn't a hardship for me, and when the defendent found out that all the jurors called showed up, he took the settlement, so we were only there drinking bad coffee for less than an hour. And I just enjoyed a day off, and still got the $20 mailed about a week later. Payment probably varies, but no one makes more than they would have at their job they had to take off from and the more days it goes on the worse.
