These Characters Are Just Not Behaving!

I'm currently working on the second chapter of "Thanks From the Widow Greengrass" and none of the characters are holding the idiot ball, so it's still in the first scene and Albus, Amelia Bones, Shacklebolt and Tonks have captured and interrogated Barty Crouch Junior, and got the entire plot from him, before putting him under the Draught of Living Death. Kingsley is on his way to arrest Barty Sr, and get the same treatment before Albus turns over both Crouches to the ICW to be tried.
This takes place within a week of the Second Task, and canon (including the first chapter of this story) have gone right out the window, and I'm in uncharted waters. At the very least I'm going to have to rework the first chapter. GRRR!

I'm thinking I'm going to need to rewrite the earlier chapters, simply to avoid the flashbacks and flashforwards that are a bitch and a half to keep track of for me, not to mention any poor readers.
