There is a certain science fiction story, “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream” by Harlan Ellison, which in short is about a supercomputer that becomes self-aware and, after wiping out almost all of humanity—towards which it feels a deep hatred—decides to keep a small handful of humans alive indefinitely, just to… hmmm, play with them. It’s rather dark, but if you enjoy science fiction, I recommend reading it; after all, I think it’s not even 10 pages long…
By the way… what do you think of my particular reinterpretation of it? 😈
