2024-07-16 00:50:33 +0000 UTCNaturist couples should be best equipped to speak on sexuality in naturism. I realize however they hardly if ever address it. We need an open and honest conversation about the topic instead of just hiding behind “rules” and “norms” for true naturists.

The image you posted showcases Blunt Moya's work which is startlingly eye-catching and emotionally engaging, but the points you also make about your commitment to your own body being used in your advocacy of Naturism resonate for me too. And that continuing need to counter the neverending criticism that being nude together cannot be non-sexual. The naturist world tends to err on the other side. The elephant in the room, that while naturism is by definition and by philosophical commitment, non-sexual, and family friendly yet humans are sexual beings, is left unsaid, unacknowledged, vehemently denied, in order that Joe Public will stop with the sexualising of Naturism. Unfortunately, this denial will not effect the paradigm shift that the clothed folks need to undergo to become more accepting, and less hysterical. On websites, social media platforms, other media platforms, they're out there, bleating about perverts. Getting naturist events shut down unless they're 18+ I've argued in a circle now, and am back to at last the need for advocates such as yourself, Errin, promoting Naturism in a way which is beautiful, engaging, accepting of our flaws, promoting self-acceptance, and the stories our naked bodies tell, clearly sexual bodies, but not in sexual contexts. I'm sorry I've rambled, but as always, your sharing has touched me. Keep being awesome 👌
