For those who do not know - I took a one week break off of work after the last video. In that time, I evaluated where I was mentally, worked on a specific plan, and was able to figure out a way to move forward with this video without needing more rest and managing my depression very handily. I am doing alright.

Written/Voiced: 0:00
Visually Edited: 0:00
Estimated Length: ~20:00
Entire skeleton script is completed

Hi all,

I have an ambitious goal this next video. I found myself working most on visuals, and less on audio each day, because of the goals I set and the organization of my script. I want to edit the audio/script part of my video much faster, and I think this is possible by doing something which I think will solve the hardest part of the script first.

Basically: How do I transition between topics? This is always the hardest part of the script, and it's something I very much spend way too much time on. So, this time, for the first 2 days of work, I have fully created a skeleton script containing all the topics, all the clips, all of the organizational information laid out, and planned out every major transition between them while keeping the main theme of the video in mind (Friendship, communication, and what playing with 14 different vtubers taught me)

I hope that this will let me go from 80 seconds of scripting/voice very day to up to 100 or so, which means that the video will be out faster as it lets me work on the visual aspect sooner! I believe this is attainable because it is a work goal that I had done when at the VERY end of my scriptwriting and voicing process for Wilds. Previously, I would have to comprehend structural stuff on too minute a level every single day, and it was hard to maintain a consistent focus on the theme this way. Though, last video didn't have much of a theme besides showing the game. This one does.

The skeleton script is done, and voicing/actual scripting begins tomorrow. Again, I hope to get it done faster because I have dedicated 2 whole days to getting this process done right with a plethora of text - now, I just need to focus on the jokes each day, instead of where the script is going, because that has been done.

My plan for this video is that my narration and explanations should only take under 20 minutes. Probably around 16 minutes. But, I think this video will have numerous clips that could add up to 3-4 minutes or so in length and will be much easier to edit... For the most part. That is to say, I want to limit the amount of stuff I talk about which is hard to edit and requires custom visuals, and establish a dynamic where I explain something, then show it in action, making the video feel totally planned out and sleek from beginning to end. Since clips are much easier to do than the other content, too, I am hoping I can produce a 20 minute video in the time that it takes to make a 17 minute video. Either way, I want to get it out sooner and not dwell on every detail. I would say that my clips can be made 3-5 times faster than regular content.

Update: First day of narrating and writing and I already got 100 seconds of video audio done!

The video came out great! I know you posted this a while ago, but I was looking around and found this. What software/web app lets you storyboard/script like this?

That's great! You gotta make the bones before you can put meat on them. This video's gonna be great!
