Added 2019-06-17 21:34:15 +0000 UTCI was bumped out of Miss Motoblot prelims by a very small margin, so now I have to hope that someone drops out before I have to cancel my flights to Chicago. (It was wise to get them when I did, just in case.)
I'm listed as an alternate, but I'm climbing up the standings. That's the really hilarious thing. The votes count as 20% of one's overall score IF one gets on that stage. Voting continues until 5pm on June 22nd, and you can vote with different email addresses on different devices. People have been voting for me since I announced I was knocked out. I think it would be hilarious to keep climbing the standings. (If someone does drop out, I get some bonus votes because I haven't actively been campaigning.)
One of my limbos has been resolved-- I missed out on one gig but made it into another festival. :)
